CFD simulation of pressure pulse propagation in twin scroll volute with shifted divider

The main subject of this Master’s thesis is a review of turbo-charger efficiency with split turbine channel in the process of various types of supercharging and also with diverse designs of so called divider of turbine channels. I used CFD simulation utilizing Star CCM+ software. A model of turbocharger and mesured data came from commercial model. Efficiency is evaluated on the basis of performance distributed to the turbine with similar input conditions for both steady and unsteady process. For better understanding of this subject I also included theoretical basics of supercharging of combustion engines and fluid dynamics.

Ejectors, its design and utilization

This bachelor’s thesis deals with the area of ejectors. These machines are included in a group of a jet pumps, introduced in the first part of thesis. In the next part is an introduction of ejectors, their principal, characteristic, its design and function and differences of using gas and liquid in different combinations of driving or drifting medium. The most extensive part is about utilization in industry, medical care and other parts of life. In concluding part are some equations and laws using in design of ejectors. The biggest problem is their efficiency.

In the Giant Mountains this environment occupies an afea of aboút 4z :.n- (approxirnately 7 .4 oÁ of the total area of the Giant Mountains' with 32 km2 on :he czech side and 15 km2 on the polish side). within the fiamework of several :esearch projects there are a number of studies carried out by czech as well as ňreign experts (Stursa 2002). The results of these studies u,. u.ry important for a'bener understanding of the arctic-alpine tundra environment and its management. In this thesis, three types of abiotic properties were studied: (1) the masnetic properties of the upper layers of the soil; (2) soil moisture properties in relattn to \egetative cover (dwarf pine versus grassland stands); and (3) influence of wind- :rifted snow on the water balance of small mountain catchments. The geophysical survey on archaeological locality on the Malý Blaník hill

Summary: The bachelor's work consists of two parts. The contents of the first one is the detailed background research of existing information about the archaeological locality on the Malý Blaník hill (geology, petrophysics, history, archaeology and other), supplemented by analysis of prospecting potentiality of different geophysical methods. The core of the second part is the areal geophysical survey of the mentioned locality by means of selected geophysical methods (geoelectrical and magnetometric methods). The contents of this part includes the field measurement, data processing and complex interpretation of the results.
