The problem of childern and their parents assisted meetings within the afterdivorce child custody

The goal of this work is to introduce and map the specific professional operation of the Crisis Center for children and a family in the framework of post-divorce care {--} so called assisted meetings. The assisted meetings represent after-divorce-coming together of the child and the parent with whom the household is not shared and with whom the contact does not work for some reasons. The target of these meetings is to help to renew, establish or deepen the relationship between the child and the parent. The theoretical part is about the divorce and its consequences. In the practical part, the secondary analysis of data was used. It brings the knowledge of the characteristics of the families, who cooperated with the Crisis Center in the framework of the assisted meetings. Furthermore it gives the information about the professional operation and its ways out and about factors which influence the relationship of a child and the nonresidential parent.

Spectrum of specialized service for forstering families

In my diploma work I concentrated on various forms of work with foster-families focused on prevention, consultancy and special help. Regional authorities are obliged to arrange them as a part of so-called consultations on foster care practice according to para. 4 of section 11 of Act No.359/1999 Coll. on Social and Legal protection of children. I tried to map the way the particular regional authorities fill this paragraph. In more detail I attended to activity of south-bohemian regional authority in this field. In terms of the research I found that the importance of foster-families meetings consists in experience exchange, feeling of sharing and gaining new information. From that point of view more days meetings are the most popular with both fosterers and social workers when there is more time for it.
