Amplifier for subwoofer with output power 100 W

This project is focused on design of the power amplifier for subwoofer, its circuit’s protection, speaker’s protection and design of the filter for subwoofer. The amplifier is operating in AB class and its power is up to 100 W/ 4 ohms. It is made of discrete electronics components and devices. The protections of the amplifier are against short circuit in output, the speaker pops when turned on and against the DC voltage at the amplifier’s output. Filter for subwoofer contains combiner at the input, volume control, subsonic filter, low-pass filter with adjustable cut-off frequency and output amplifier with possibility of phase changing of the output signal.
Current source for measuring purposes

Goal of this semestral thesis is to design power converter which is to be used for measurement. The converter consists of two forward converters in push-pull topology. The converter is to behave as a constant current source with maximum open-circuit voltage of 1000V. Maximum current is 5A. The current range is split into three sub-ranges, to meet the strict requirements on ripple current. The range of currents is 0-5A. The operating frequency of converter is 34KHz. The converter will be charged using two portable electric generators with output voltage 230V.
