Mikulics, Kateřina ; Kočíb, Tomáš (advisor) ; Carboch, Jan (referee)
Title: A case study of amateur tennis players Objectives: The aim of the bachelor thesis is to evaluate the degree of improvement of tennis technique and accuracy of tennis strokes in pre-selected amateur tennis players. Methods: The first used method was the data collection method using an online survey, the method of direct observation of the players during training units was used to obtain partial results and the third method was testing, which took place at the beginning and end of the training period using the "ITN On Court Assessment". Results: Both players improved their technique and the accuracy of their tennis strokes. Player #1 improved his stroke accuracy by 1 whole level in the "ITN On Court Assessment". In the first testing (at the beginning of the training period) the player scored 126 points, while in the testing at the end of the training period he scored 172 points. Player 2's improvement in stroke accuracy was less, scoring 162 points in the first testing and 175 points in the testing at the end of the training period. Player 2's stroke technique improved twice as much. Players gained awareness of the game of tennis, know the basic rules of the game and know how they should move on the court. Keywords: Tennis technique, training, improvement, training period, ITN On Court Assessment.

Golf swing kinematics in health and handicapped golfers with specific disabilities
Hoščálková, Julie ; Gryc, Tomáš (advisor) ; Carboch, Jan (referee)
Title: Kinematics of the full swing in non-handicapped and handicapped golfers with specific disabilities. Objectives: The aim of the thesis was to investigate, analyse and describe the difference in the execution of the full golf swing between a handicapped player and a player without disability limitations. Methods: A sample of 1 able-bodied and 1 handicapped golfer with similar performance was used to investigate the full swing kinematics using the CODA Motion system 3D kinematic analysis and the BodiTrak pressure plate. Specifically, the difference in execution between the players in selected parameters was evaluated. The obtained data were processed in LibreOffice Calc software. T-test for independent samples and Cohen's d were used to determine the statistical and substantive significance of the differences. Results: Statistical and substantive significance of the difference in the execution of the full swing between able-bodied and handicapped players was found (p < 0,01, d > 0,8). Nevertheless, the overall results of the shots were not that different. Keywords: tests, performance, movement, impact factors, analysis
Junior tennis technique
Hanzlík, David ; Kočíb, Tomáš (advisor) ; Carboch, Jan (referee)
Title: Junior tennis technique The bachelor's thesis analyzes the technique of shots among junior tennis players, in particular intermediate and advanced players (both males and females) aged between 11 and 15 years of age. It focuses on three basic shots in tennis: forehand, backhand and serve as those are the most frequent shots in the game. This thesis describes individual parts of the research and highlights methods being video recording, testing, observation. With the help of video the thesis analyzes particular details of the level of skill of the shot making of individual players. Objectives: Analysis and evaluation of forehand, backhand and serve technique between tennis players in tennis school. Methods: Video analysis, observation and testing method Results: Based upon the findings, we can conclude that shot making success rate was much higher than that of efficiency amongst the players. As far as technical execution of the shots goes, players had better rating in backhands than forehands. However, efficiency was better in forehand shots. The worst aspect was the serve where technical execution as well as efficiency was far worse than that of backhands and forehands among half the players analyzed. The most common mistakes were: wrong or inadequate use of the center of gravity,...
Using of movement games in handball training for children.
Plucarová, Kristýna ; Petružela, Jan (advisor) ; Carboch, Jan (referee)
Title: The use of movement games in the handball training for children Objectives: The aim of thesis is to find out how movement games are used in the training of children and youth in our country - with what aim and for what purpose coaches choose them. Specify the principles and criteria of their use in handball training. Find out what are the different states of movement games in the Czech Handball Federation. Methods: For the preparation of the bachelor thesis an anonymous questionnaire was created for handball coaches in the category of pre-school, mini-players and younger players. The questionnaire was extended by the regional coaches and managers of the Czech Handball Federation to the individual teams. Results: The use of movement games in the training of younger pupils is sufficient according to the General Concept of the Methodology. The use of movement games is not sufficient in the pre-school and mini-junior categories. From the result it can be concluded that there is a lack of theoretical knowledge among the coaches of these categories. Keywords: handball, mini handball, movement games, methodology, long-term athlete development
The influence of athletic exercises on speed and jumping abilities of handball players aged 11 to 13
Jelínek, Erik ; Petružela, Jan (advisor) ; Carboch, Jan (referee)
Title: Impact athletic exercises on speed and jump abilities of 11-13 years old handball players. Objectives: The aim of this work is to find out whether it is possible to improve the performance of speed and jump skills of handball players aged from 11 to 13 by using athletic exercises in the preparatory part of the training unit, by creating an athletic intervention program. Methods: This work, based on the type of experimental study, uses methods of measurement, intervention and comparison between two groups - control and experimental. It was done 2 total measurements of exercises included in test battery of Czech handball association. The first measurement of both groups was done before the intervention program, which was applied only on the experimental group. The second measurement of both groups was done after the end of the intervention program. The resulting measurement data were finally averaged, compared and evaluated between the control and experimental groups. Results: It was found the positive effect of intervention program based on athletic exercises on development of speed skills. Jump abilities has been only little significantly improved. Keywords: Handball, fitness, condition, training, athletics, youth training, special running exercises.
The relationship of the toss to the success of the first service in tennis
Hrychová, Denisa ; Carboch, Jan (advisor) ; Kočíb, Tomáš (referee)
Title: The relationship of the toss to the success of the first service in tennis Objectives: The main aim of this work is to determine how the toss impacts the success rate of first tennis serve for both amateur and professional players. Methods: The initial data set was obtained by method of indirect observation using video recording of 8 professional and 2 amateur players. Each of them did 40 direct serves which were recorded and processed using Dartfish 10 software. Followingly the serves were sorted into categories - successfull, into net, out - long ball and out - on the side. Acquired data was processed using statistical (ANOVA) and effect size (Cohen's d) significance. Results: Based on substantive significance it can be said that for the y-axis the players only reached values of low effect with their serves. Larger effect of substantive significance, namely d=0.94, was reached by average values among serves which were played into the net or were out on the side. Balls, which were hit by professional at highest average hight of 273.7 cm ended up as long ball out. On the contrary, tosses hit at average distance of 63.7 cm from the baseline ended up in the net. A good serve was achieved at average distance of 61.6 cm from the baseline and at average hight of 272.9 cm. Keywords: tennis,...

Title: Differences in the level and variability of impact factors in golfers of different performance Aim: The aim of the diploma thesis is to clarify what are the differences in the level and variability of impact factors in golfers of different performance. Methods: The research group consisted of a total of 28 right-handed golfers divided into 3 performance categories. Professional players included all those with PRO status (Age = 28.5 ± 4.33 years, Height = 183.25 ± 4.76 cm, Weight = 85.46 ± 9.92 kg), Among Elite Amateur players with better hcp than 4.2 (Age = 22.67 ±1.63 years, Height = 186.33 ± 7.12 cm, Weight = 81.84 ± 10.04 kg, HCP = 0.47 ± 2.34) and among Amateur players all with hcp 4.3 or worse (Age = 35 ± 9.03 years, Height = 182.78 ± 6.58 cm, Weight = 84.11 ± 12.14 kg, HCP = 7.71 ± 2.57). Probands played a total of 20 strokes with 4 clubs (PW, 8 iron, 5 iron, Driver) after 5 strokes with a full swing to the finish line. In our test, the level and variability of impact parameters were evaluated. The difference between the performance groups was evaluated using the Kruskal-Wallis test at the level of statistical significance alpha <0.05 in the R v3.5.2 program (Vienna, Austria). Results: When evaluating differences between performance groups, we found significant differences in the level...

Štefka, Matěj ; Carboch, Jan (advisor) ; Pravečková, Petra (referee)
Title: Injuries and their prevention among ice hockey players Objective: Description of the injuries and their prevention situation in czech ice hockey. Methods: I used the questionnaire method to obtain data. The data were analysed with mathematic and statistic methods. I used basic program MS Excel for the data comparisment. I also used basic statistic values typical for such studies as for example: injuries per 1000 player games in ice hockey. The data comparison was made with some other statistic values. Results: The result from the questionnaire was that among the monitored players the most often injuries are those in the body area of head and neck (25 %). These injuries are often caused by the colision with another player, hit by stick, colision with the boards or hit by puck. Another frequently occured injuries are the injuries of knees (21 %), where majority of them are ligaments and specifically inner collateral ligaments. Among the injuries of shoulders (20 %) we record mostly ligament injuries again. The most common prevention elements are helmets with damping foam, muscle strenghtenening and regeneration. Key words: ice hockey, injuries, czech leagues
