Modification of the focusing part of the table-top setup for Laser Induced Breakdown Spectroscopy (LIBS)
Borovský, Ján ; Prochazka, David (referee) ; Samek, Ota (advisor)
This bacheolor thesis solves functional modifications of the foccusing part of the table-top setup for laser induced breakdown spectroscopy LIBS. Main requirements for modified draft includes increasing view field of the navigation camera, increasing the setup’s aperture and prevention of the camera destruction by radiation of plasma. These requirements were fulfilled in new draft of optical stand including possible solution as enlarging focusing lens, new dielectric mirror and mechanical iris shutter. Some elements of proposed solution will be used in suggestion of Tescan company‘s new interaction chambers for LIBS analysis.
Design of a scanning system for chemical mapping of a sample surface by the Laser-Induced Breakdown Spectroscopy
Suchánek, Martin ; Borovský, Ján (referee) ; Novotný, Jan (advisor)
The goal of this thesis is to design a scanning system for method of laser induced breakdown spectroscopy. The thesis contains research about laser induced breakdown spectroscopy, scanning system including all used components and chemical mapping of sample´s surface. In this thesis, the scanning system is combined with F-theta lens. The construction and optical design of the scanning system, evaluation of measured results and comparison with original motorized positioning is included.
Design of the fluorescence microscope for carbon nanotubes spectroscopy
Borovský, Ján ; Novotný,, Karel (referee) ; Novotný, Jan (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with design, implementation and testing of fluorescence microscope intended for carbon nanotubes spectroscopy. Theory of fluorescence resulting from solid state physics and atomic structure of nanotubes is briefly discussed. The basic idea, optical scheme and optical elements used in the fluorescence microscope are described based on requirements resulting from the theory. The thesis mentions the sample preparation procedure and measurements of its optical activity as well. Realized microscope is usable for fluorescence measurements within the supposed range of wavelengths as was proved by testing.
