Butterflies of Czech protected areas - analysis interpreted by functional traits
BARTOŇOVÁ, Alena
Butterflies (Insecta: Lepidoptera) of 125 Czech national protected areas were counted covering all seasonal aspects. A matrix of several functional traits of each species was used to explain impact of characteristics describing heterogeneity and geometry of the reserves, after removing influence of geography and habitat type.
Analysing of the Czech Republic monitoring scheme for EU-protected butterflies Dusky Large Blue (\kur{Phengaris nausithous}) and Scarce Large Blue (\kur{Phengaris telejus}).
BARTOŇOVÁ, Alena
Two species of European Community interest, Dusky Large Blue (Phengaris nausithous) and Scarce Large Blue (Phengaris telejus) were monitored by external workers in the Czech Republic for six seasons (2005-2010). The data of abundance and environmental conditions was collected from both legally protected and unprotected localities. Abundance changes were assessed and their relationships to several external predictors were investigated. Some factors influencing trends in populations were found.
