Sensor for long-term control of food quality
Navara, Róbert ; Búran, Martin (referee) ; Adámek, Martin (advisor)
This final thesis focuses on the problems related to the lifespan of food and it’s monitoring. The first chapter is focused on the food businesses and on the creation of system HACCP which those businesses need to implement. Next chapter talks about factors which have the biggest impact on the lifespan of meat. The chapter about technologies used for monitoring of health safety of food talks about most used and most viable sensing tags used for this purpose. The following chapter describes microcontroller ESP32, it’s pros, it’s cons and it’s programmability. The practical part revolves around the realization of a printed circuit board, fitted with a microcontroler ESP32, a relative humidity and temperature sensor HDC1080 and an ammonia sensor MiCS-6814, which as a whole along with designed firmware and software work as a sensor tag, which is capable of measuring, saving and exporting data based on a configuration of an user.
Hot plate with power regulation
Lacika, Marek ; Skácel, Josef (referee) ; Búran, Martin (advisor)
This thesis deals with issues of used hot plates and thick-film technology. The theoretical part of diploma thesis contains a theoretical analysis and description of corresponding technology and usage of materials. The practical part of the thesis focuses on the design of the resulting device, which forms design of the test and optimized hot element, the initial design of the device and the design of models for temperature simulations. Then follows description of the practical realization of the motifs and testing of the created thick-film structure on a ceramic substrate. In the last part are shown simulations of heat transfer in the proposed model of the device.
Silver alloy wire-bonding
Búran, Martin ; Jankovský, Jaroslav (referee) ; Řezníček, Michal (advisor)
This project deals with interconnection of semiconductor chips, especially interconnection using silver alloys. First part of this project contains interconnection methods and comparison of materials, which are used in wire bonding. Project include risk factors and the most frequent defects, which can appear during bonding. Next part contains testing proposals and testing of interconnected semiconductor chips.
Innovation of device for mealworms breeding
Dvorský, Adam ; Búran, Martin (referee) ; Adámek, Martin (advisor)
The task of the work was to get familiar to the reader with the possibilities and conditions of edible insect breeding in the Czech Republic, focusing on a selected species of darkling beetle (Tenebrio molitor). Design optimization of breeding conditions for different stages of breeding, with the possibility of accelerating breeding. Another part of the work was to get acquainted with the properties of the microcontroller series Espressif ESP32 and its use in the areas of simple product management. From these identified conditions, a breeding station was designed and gradually implemented in the second half of the work, which was controlled by this microcontroller company Espressif ESP32. The work describes the proposed components for measuring and regulating breeding conditions with a focus on temperature, humidity, food and fluid dosing. The penultimate chapter mentions experimental measurements of regulated conditions with evaluation of measured data. The conclusion is the evaluation of the solution and its other possibilities.
Device for measurement and regulation of edible insect breeding conditions
Dvorský, Adam ; Búran, Martin (referee) ; Adámek, Martin (advisor)
This work focuses on the design and realization of a measuring and regulatory system for successful breeding of edible insects with a focus on the mealworm (Tenebrio molitor). For the correct setting of the system, the first part of the work is detected and described the general conditions of insect breeding. The description is mainly focused on the mealworm, its development and basic breeding conditions (temperature, humidity, etc.). This information is further used for the development of breeding equipment, the basic concept of which is further established at work. The device is controlled by espressif's ESP32 microcontroller. The work acquaints with its programming and the connection and programming of basic components for the proposed system. Experimental measurements verify the functionality of measurements and regulation in the breeding box. The regulation is accurate to tenths to hundredths of ° C.Last but not least, the design is compared with existing devices.
Hot-wire anemometer
Búran, Martin ; Jankovský, Jaroslav (referee) ; Řezníček, Michal (advisor)
The project deals with the effect of the airflow and temperature on the gold wirebond due to possible application in hot-wire anemometry. Theoretical fundamentals of wirebonding and hot-air anemometry are included in the text. From the area of anemometry, there is also a detailed description of measurement principles, areas of application and measuring instruments. The practical part of the text deals with design of the experimental sensor for hot-wire anemometry with use of the gold wirebond, including also the verification of the sensor's properties.
Monitoring equipment for fermentation processes using the thermodynamic sensors
Jáneš, Pavel ; Búran, Martin (referee) ; Adámek, Martin (advisor)
The bachelor's thesis is focused on the design and implementation of a prototype device that is to be used to monitor fermentation processes in the food industry using thermodynamic sensors. The work contains a brief description of fermentation processes in the food industry and also possible methods of their monitoring. It also deals with the principle of the thermodynamic sensor and the description of the ESP32 microcontroller, which is the core of the prototype. Subsequently, it deals with the design of a prototype, including a program for ESP32, which is able to monitor the fermentation process using a pair of thermodynamic sensors and send the measured data to the cloud service ThingSpeak, to a personal computer or store them in Flash memory. Furthermore, the work deals with testing in experimental measurements, in which fermentation processes were monitored with the prototype.

This thesis is concerned with the experimental design, manufacture, and testing of a 3D printed prototype of a capillary. The aim is to introduce the reader to the issue of 3D printing related to the manufacture of capillaries and focus on chemiresist sensors. Furthermore, the features of microcontroller Atmel Atmega2560 and its applications in sensory technology will be described. In the second part of the thesis, the capillary for sample pre-processing with an output to a gas measuring device with an electrochemical sensor is designed and produced. For the control of the device, the Atmel Atmega 2560 microcontroller is to be used and the device must enable data transfer to PC. The possible applications of the capillary are to be evaluated.
