Böhmová, Kateřina ; Hrdina, Radomír (advisor) ; Herink, Josef (referee)
Charles University in Prague Faculty of Pharmacy in Hradec Králové Department of Pharmacology & Toxicology Student: Kateřina Böhmová Supervisor: Prof. MUDr. Hrdina Radomír, CSc. Title of diploma thesis: Pharmacotherapy of anxiety and sleep disorder Anxiety and sleep disorders belong to common medical conditions. Anxiety attacks are recurring unpleasant emotion states. Sleep disorders are characterized by insufficient or excessive amount of sleep or its poor quality, which persist for significant time period. These common disorders represent important medical and socioeconomic problem. Opinions about etiopathogenesis and classification are constantly evolving. Women and elders suffer from these disorders more often. Complex treatment includes mostly removing the cause, life style changes, psychotherapy, and pharmacotherapy of acute attacks relieving anxiety or sleep problem and prophylactic pharmacotherapy slowly lowering frequency, intensity and later on optimally total resolution of symptoms. Antidepressants from SSRI or SNRI group are considered to be the drugs of first choice in frequent anxiety and chronic sleep disorders. Before the full effect of these antidepressants, it is possible to use BZD for acute attacks treatment. For acute sleep disorders treatment, so called "Z" drugs could be...

In this thesis we are dealing with the Kidney exchange game, which is a combinatorial model of the problem of distribution of living donors of kidneys to patients. More specifically, having a set of incompatible recipient-donor pairs we want to create a permutation of the donors to obtain pairs compatible for a transplantation. We require that the solution is stable, which essentially means that there is not a group of pairs such that it would be better for all of them to create another permutation just among themselves. We give an overview of known methods for finding solutions (the Top Trading Cycles algorithm and heuristics) and for testing the stability of a solution. We describe previously known results concerning the hardness of the problem. We propose to seek for a good stable solution by starting with the result of the TTC algorithm and then applying heuristics repeatedly. We use several known heuristics together with two new ones. We present results of a series of tests to show the improvement achieved by the heuristics. We also present a new algorithm for testing the stability of a solution. This algorithm runs significantly faster than the previously known one.

Hypnotics should be reserved especially for short-term and transient forms of insomnia, the treatment of which must be started as soon as possible together with the cognitive component and the elimination of the primary cause of this insomnia. The Development of the Basic Body Measurements of Infants 6-12 months old.
BÖHMOVÁ, Kateřina
The aim of this diploma is to study the development of basic body measurements of infants 6 to 12 months old being exclusively breastfed up to 4 months of age, with continued breastfeeding along with appropriate complementary foods up to one year of age or beyond. The monitored physical parameters were the body length, weight, and head circumference. The anthropometric data were collected according to a standardized (Martin-Saller?s) method or its modification. For statistical comparison sorting of the age categories according to the WHO recommendation was made. Our data were compared (t-test, Z-score) with the results of the previous surveys of Czech children. Comparison of results of our study and previous anthropological survey showed lower mean values of weight-height ratio in our file. The questionnaire of mothers? somatic and further characteristics was evaluated. The part of this study involves also the evaluation of Life Satisfaction Questionnaire of primiparous mothers. It has been found that general life content of primiparous mothers is influenced by positive assessment of financial situation particularly. Researched somatic data about children are a part of the national anthropological survey of the National Institute of Public Health (NIPH) in Prague. The collected data sets can serve as a tool to creating standards for the current population of breastfed children.
