This graduation thesis is focused on Following the Principle of Local impact in projects focused on Social Enterprising. First chapters bring theoretical concept of Social Economy and Social Enterprising subjects. Second part of the work contains project of research and analysis of information acquired from companies that participated in a research. The Local impact as a fundamental Principle of Social economy is described on the basis of respondent's answers concerning the communication and cooperation with stakeholders, using variety of local resources, satisfying local needs and participating in community planning.
Online Fundraising in the Czech Republic

This diploma thesis introduces the topic of online fundraising primarly based on foreign scholarly literature. The thesis focuses mostly on its tools, but it also presents ethical rules or evaluation. The goal of the diploma thesis after introduction this topic to the czech public is to analyse the half-structured questionnaire and identify successful organizations. In addition to that, the aim of the research is to discover the application of key success factors of online fundraising among identified successful organizations, which are at the end supplemented by inspirations and recommendations from czech NGOs.
Civic society organizations providing social services and entrepreneurial activities in Pardubice region

SYNOPSIS This thesis covers partial universe of civic society organizations that provide social services in Pardubice region. The primary goal of the thesis is to explore, through a questionnaire research, whether the income generated by these organizations is a determining factor in their association with the concept of social economy and social enterprise. The secondary goal is to identify, using semi-structured interviews with the representatives of civic society organizations, how they fulfill principles of social enterprise based to the "softer definition" developed by EMES. The first two chapters introduce concepts of public sector and social economy as well as identify their similarities and differences. It is followed by a description of social services and support of civic society organizations from the view point of several parties. The third chapter is dedicated to the actual research.
Volunteering of young people motivation and barriers

Volunteering is an important subject in today's society. The society as well as the volunteers themselves profit from volunteering. This thesis handles the topic of young people and volunteering. It deals with the opinion of young people about volunteering as well as with the motivations and barriers young people have in connection to volunteering. There has been a qualitative research conducted within this thesis. The method of focus group was used for it. Young people between 16 and 19 years were the target group of the research. Besides motivation and barriers it focused as well on the channels through which people get information about volunteering. There are recommendations concerning the promotion of volunteering between young people in the final part of the thesis. Those conclusions are aimed mainly for the European Year of Volunteering 2011.
Benefits of cooperation of mother centres with the municipalities: Mother centres and their part in the creation of civil society

This diploma thesis deals with the question of mother centres, their significance in civil society and evaluates the cooperation between mother centres and municipalities, in which these centres operate. This thesis includes definitions of concepts as family, role of the family, and status of women in the family. It describes the role of the state in relation to the families and family policy in specific region. In this diploma thesis is stated what the meaning of mother centres, how they are formed and how they influence civil society. Within the empirical part of the thesis I have tried to assess the activity of the selected mother centres, their promotion and their cooperation with the Network of the mother centres and their cooperation with the public sector institutions. This diploma thesis contains the results of investigation in the municipalities as well. In the conclusion of the thesis there is an evaluation of the cooperation between mother centres and municipalities. Civil Association as a Tool of Cultural Heritage Protection

The dissertation is dealing with opportunities which are available for non-for profit organizations in the field of cultural heritage protection. The example being studied is the farmhouse Bulovka, which is a protected cultural heritage site located in the district of Prague 5. The dissertation is divided into theoretical and empirical parts. The theoretical part describes the main points of cultural protection theory and gives a short introduction into the history of farmhouses in Prague. It also describes the basic concepts of civil society. The empirical part is mapping the legal background of cultural heritage protection by introducing the laws which are currently used in this field. The crucial part compares various civil society organizations and assesses their ability to effectively protect the farmhouse Bulovka. The main criteria are an ability to apply for the grants offered by various foundations and other institutions. As a result, a list of available funding programs for cultural heritage protection is presented, which can be used for the protection of the farmhouse Bulovka.
Volunteers Preparing for Emergencies in Regional Associations Czech Red Cross in South Bohemian Region

Volunteering in emergency situations requires comprehensive knowledge of the context of these situations: crisis management issues, including legislation, involving of NNO in the integrated rescue system and cooperation with a local government, the principle of access to those who are affected; including first aid, teamwork and self-care. The training of volunteers is very important for both, the quality of volunteer work and for volunteers themselves and humanitarian organizations pay special attention to it.The aim of this work is to summarize the findings from the literature, to prepare them for the use of volunteers and to map the training system of volunteers and members of the Czech Red Cross in general, and on the specific example of regional associations in the South Bohemian region. To achieve the objective, an analysis and summary of the domestic literature on training volunteers in emergencies was realised. Furthermore, the case study, using data from secondary sources, internal documents and from expert interviews was compiled. Attachments now contain information useful for training volunteers as a separated document. The conclusion of this work summarizes the findings and defines recommendations for a practical use. Safety and Health Protection while Working with Children and Youth in Non-Governmental Non-Profit Organizations

The thesis is concerned with the topic of safety while working with children and youth in non-governmental non-profit organizations (NGOs). In the first part it focuses on the definition of the topic and basic terms connected with this issue, such as "safety", "risk" and "risk management". It tackles history of NGOs working with children and youth in the Czech Republic and also existing relevant laws and legal regulations. The non-existence of an integral legislation for this area of civic activities results in the fact that the representatives of NGOs working with children have to have knowledge and proficiency in a vast variety of laws and regulations. Further on, the thesis offers some insight into the system and methods of risk management in commercial sector, introduces different approaches to risk analyses and attempts to apply some of them in the field of NGOs working with the underaged. The second part of the thesis is more practical. Two larger and longer existing NGOs working with children and two smaller and newer ones analyze their organizational structure and processes with regard to safety and precaution measures. The Analisys of the Social Enterprises Activities in the Liberec County

Subject of the diploma thesis is social enterpreneurship analysis with focus on the region of Liberec district - the particular administrative part of the Czech republic. The social enterpreneurship is introduced as specific activity of the civic sphere, the social economy is a branch, actually comprised in the area of the civil society. First part of the work comprises of theoretical background of the theme of social economy, short historical overview and survey about contemporary approach to social enterpreneurship in the Czech republic, its support and barriers. The second part of the theses performs the research activity under the topic of social enterpreneurship in Liberec region. The analytical part of the work presents the results on its ground are made some recomendations for the future arrangements and possible research topics.
