Corporate financing by assignment of receivables Abstract The diploma thesis deals with the issue of using the assignment of receivables as an instrument of financing a company. The thesis presents a comprehensive legal and economic analysis of this alternative method of corporate financing. In view of the current extraordinary increase in the demand of companies for securing working capital in this way, the thesis aims to provide the potentially financed company with sufficient information and arguments to make a qualified decision whether or not the assignment of receivables is an optimal choice. To this end, the thesis analyses the various legal and economic aspects of increasing available cash resources through the assignment of receivables. Since the added value of this thesis lies mainly in the synthesis of multidisciplinary knowledge, its content design is based on the principle from the general to the specific. The thesis first lays a theoretical foundation that puts the issue under study in a relevant context. At the very beginning of the thesis, it defines the concept of enterprise and delineates it from related concepts. Financial performance ranking

The subject-matter of this diploma thesis is a comparison of financial performance of issuers of selected stock titles listed on the official market of the RM-SYSTÉM, česká burza cenných papírů a.s. stock exchange from a potential investor's perspective. The comprehensive comparison of financial performance presented both in the numerical and the graphic form is achieved through the application of the ranking method based on evaluation criteria analysing financial performance in the years 2009 to 2015 with a view of economic power, profitability, stability and investor perspective. The ranking is compiled with the use of each of the evaluation criteria on the basis of weighted average, taking account of the up-to-datedness of the input data of pre-defined materiality coefficients, and on the basis of arithmetic average representing the median value for the calculation of absolute volatility expressed by the standard deviation.

The bachelor thesis is aimed at complex appraisal of financal health of Baťa, akciová společnost, one of key clothing industry companies in the world. The thesis analyses the progress of basic financial indiactors during the years 2005 to 2009. The thesis consists of two parts. The first part is named "teoretical" as it describes the methodology and defines the formulas applied in the "practical part". The practical part consists of the analysis itself. Since the aim of the analysis is to provide a simplified view on the financial position of the company as a whole, it covers various indicators useful for both external and internal users. All the input data the analysis is based on are accessible to the public. No internal financial statements were used.
