Economic analysis of selected company

It is not easy to be succesful and remain on the market full of competition nowadays. Companies have to constantly adapt to different changes but they also have to continuously develop and improve in order to compete with others. They need to know themselves and also their competitors in order to achieve this improvement. Therefore an economic analysis was compiled to examine and identify economic performance of the company. To perform this analysis, it is essential to understand the related concepts, to have knowledge of the methods and mainly to be experienced in financial statements. All above mentioned is defined in the theoretical part of this thesis. In the practical part, there is the analysis applied in practice in order to achieve goals of this thesis. One of the goals is to summaries economic situation of cooperative compared to main competitor in industry. The above analysis are illustrated with graphs and notes. The Agricultural Cooperative Velká Chyška was selected for the analysis, becouse of it is main activity in agriculture. Analyzed period is in ten years range from 2005 till 2014. The cooperative was reporting satisfactory results in this period, with exception of the downturn in 2009 which was caused mainly by the fall of milk prices to a minimum-this was a result of global economic crisis and poor weather conditions. The good condition of the cooperative can be demonstrated on financial statement analysis, financial ratios, IN05 index and best position in comparison to a competitors and industry. The results show that the Agricultural Cooperative Velká Chyška is able to economically use their financial funds and property.
