The target of the methodical part is to clarify the basics of grounded theory by using the methody of half-structured depth interview and observation. After implementation of qualitative research I want to summarize the discovered patterns of social perception and to find the movements in the field of social stereotypes in the specialists´approach to disadvantaged pupils.

The issue of education of nurses in basic and advanced resuscitation according to applicable Guidelines.
SLABÝ, Petr
Theoretical background The thesis is about education in area of basic and advanced resuscitation according to valid Guidelines for nurses. The department of internal medicine was chosen for research investigation. The theoretical part briefly describes sudden circulatory arrest. In context the resuscitation is explained and categorized into basic and advanced. There is also described what are Guidelines, what are the trends in CPR. Furthermore the shockable heart rhythms are described. The defibrillation is summarized and characterized. The theoretical part also contains the term AED (automatic external defibrillator). There is also information about rate of sudden circulatory arrests in hospitals. Priorities are defined for work of nurses in case of sudden circulatory arrest and priorities for CPR. The theory of andragogy is presented as a science discipline for education of adults. In the end of the theoretical part Hal is presented as a hi-tech modern robotic patient. The educational method of e-learning is described as well. Goals and research questions In the empirical part of the thesis two goals were established. One goal was to find out if the nurses that work in the department of internal medicine are interested in a course in basic and advanced resuscitation and problems involved. The second goal was to map awareness of nurses of CPR. The task was to educate nurses from department of internal medicine in basic and advanced resuscitation according to valid Guidelines and recommendations of European resuscitation council 2010, and also to teach them how to use the automatic external defibrillator. The primary research question is the following: How are the nurses from department of internal medicine educated in basic and advanced resuscitation in case of sudden circulatory arrest? The secondary research questions are the following: 1) What kind of knowledge of sudden circulatory arrest and CPR do the nurses have? 2) How are the nurses educated in CPR in case of sudden circulatory arrest? 3) How big is the interest of nurses in a course in CPR in case of sudden circulatory arrest? 4) How to efficiently educate nurses in CPR in case of sudden circulatory arrest? 5) How competent do the nurses believe they are in defibrillation of the heart? Methodology The method used for research is qualitative research which is divided into three phases. The research sample in the first phase was made of at least seven nurses from department of internal medicine. Structured interview is used in this phase which consists of fifteen questions to probe the knowledge of CPR, sudden circulatory arrest and use of AED. In the second phase a short educational course was put together with help of a doctor from anaesthesiology and resuscitation department. Findings The of the is to research satisfaction of nurses from department of internal medicine with education in sudden circulatory arrest and CPR. Conclusions The thesis gives us a look at education of nurses from department of internal medicine in sudden circulatory arrest and urgent resuscitation, competences of nurses for defibrillation, presence of automatic external defibrillators in departments of the hospital. From the finding we can conclude that the nurses from department of internal medicine are actively interested in learning more about cardiopulmonary resuscitation in case of sudden circulatory arrest. They are interested in manipulation with defibrillator and automatic external defibrillator. We can also see the benefit in the course which could improve the odds of survival for people affected by sudden circulatory arrest in hospitals.

Persons with hearing impairments in the dramatic arts
NOVOTNÁ, Michala
This bachelor thesis concentrates on issues associated with people with hearing problems and their relationship with theatrical art. The aim of this work is to introduce the problems of studying theatrical art by individuals that are hearing impaired, and also the problems associated with employment for these people. The specifics of being hearing impaired are described in the theoretical section, including communication and education of the hearing impaired. The next chapter addresses theatrical art in relationship to the hearing impaired people. It also includes the performance of university subject Educational Drama of the Deaf (further reffered to as VDN). Also the employment opportunities after graduation from this university subject are covered and chapters the Hearing Impaired as Artists and Hearing Impaired as Educators are included. There is a very limited amount of specialist literature available on this problematic. It was chosen qualitative research method by using half structured interview so the information in the theoretical part were specified or broadened so the reader gets the best possible overview about this problematic. The target group were hearing impaired graduates of the VDN subject, they have the greatest experience in this sphere and therefore they can pass on lots of important information. By the interest of these graduates it can be concluded, that educational subjects opened up for specific target groups is a positive move towards breaking barriers between people who have normal hearing and people who are hearing impaired. This subject could be a model for specialists and the public, on how to further broaden and improve conditions for all disabled people. As outlined above, the scope of this of this bachelor thesis includes an analysis of the concerns of the specifics of the Hearing Impaired Theatre, the analysis incorporates the theatrical performance of the VDN students from a hearing impaired point of view. This bachelor thesis can be an informative source of information for the normal hearing part of a population about the problematic of the hearing impaired and about the Hearing Impaired Theatre.

View of Medical and Social Employees to the Topic of Restrictive Precautions into Residence Social Facilities
SKRUŽNÁ, Andrea
This bachelor thesis elaborates the theme of ?The Health and Social Service Employees´ Views of the Problems Concerning the Restrictive Measures Imposed Upon Social Facilities Providing Accommodation?. Restrictive measures can be defined as a means used to restrict movement of the social services users. These measures can be applied only to the situations defined by Act No. 108/2009 Sb.*, on Social Services. This act stipulates even the precise procedure for the process of applying these restrictive measures. The theoretical part of this bachelor thesis is focused on the characteristics of the social facilities providing accommodation, their users and employees, on determining the restrictive measures including the related duties of social service providers, as well as characteristic features of the dementia syndrome, since the person living with this syndrome are a target group of users of the social facility providing accommodation in which this research has been carried out. The main aim of the practical part of the thesis was to find out what opinion the employees carrying out professional activities had on the restrictive measures imposed upon the Čížkovice Pensioners´ Home, which serves as an example of such social facility. The strategy of qualitative research has been applied to the implementation of the research, in particular the enquiry method and the technique of the half-structured interview. Afterwards the main research question was formulated. For answering this question three partial research questions had to be determined. They were focused on the degree of social employees´ knowledge of these restrictive measures, on the care for persons with the dementia syndrome and on the employees´ reaction to problematic behaviour of these persons. This bachelor thesis will be made use of as a feedback for the above mentioned employees, i.e. those carrying out professional activities in the Čížkovice Pensioners´ Home, where the research has been carried out.

Social Work in Hospital - Used Methods and Techniques
MRÁČKOVÁ, Iva
The thesis deals with the issue of social work in a hospital. Social work in health care is a sphere where health care is combined with social care and is an inseparable part of therapeutic and nursing process. The aim was to map the methods and techniques of social work used in the České Budějovice Hospital. Three research questions were set: 1. What methods and techniques does a social worker apply to work with a patient? 2. What social help is most frequently used by patients in hospital? 3. Are patients informed on social care possibilities after discharge from hospital? Quantitative research, questioning method, the technique of semi structured interview was performed to reach the goals of the thesis. The research was conducted from March to June 2012. The practical research was performed in direct cooperation with social workers from the České Budějovice Hospital and with clients that had been discharged to home environment after being hospitalized in the České Budějovice Hospital and used social services after discharge. The research has shown that social workers apply the most suitable methods to the social work process and use the most modern procedures in solving unfavourable social situation, including the approach to a client. Clients have the possibility to get in touch with a social worker in hospital and to use her assistance in mitigation or elimination of negative social impacts of illness.

Benefits and barriers to the transfer of information nurses at the bedside of patients.
MERUNKOVÁ, Michaela
The nursing handover report belongs to everyday activities of nurses. In the work of a nurse it is important to know exactly who, when, where, what and how. This is what the following activity and responsibilities of the duty period are derived from. This diploma thesis, focused on the Nursing Handover Report at a Patient´s Bedside, has a theoretical and practical part. The first, theoretical part, is composed of three chapters, the modern trend of nursing, the nursing report and legislation. The second, practical part, is based on quantitative and qualitative surveys with three defined objectives and four hypotheses. The first objective was to determine what nurses regard as a major contribution of the nursing handover report at a patient´s bedside. The second objective was to define the greatest obstacle in the nursing handover report at a patient´s bedside. The third objective was assessing the patients´ attitude towards the nursing handover report at their bedside. All three objectives were met by the research. The qualitative part of this diploma work was based on a conducted kvasiexperiment and subsequent questions for patients and nurses. The research sample was 5 nurses and 5 patients from the intermediate care unit (IMCU) and 5 nurses and 5 patients from the resuscitation station (RES) of the České Budějovice hospital, PLC. The semi-structured interview consisted of six to eight questions, surveying the feelings, contents, visualization, integration, advantages, disadvantages, departments, nursing handover at the bedside and the quality. The data collection was carried out by means of an anonymous questionnaire designed for nurses to find out how nurses hand the report over or how they would like to hand it over. 303 nurses from the České Budějovice Hospital, PLC, and the Příbram Hospital, PLC, took part in the research. The results were used to confirm or to reject the hypotheses. The first hypothesis: Nurses do not consider an oral handover report as a quality one when done without a visual completion, this has not been confirmed by the investigation. The second hypothesis: In terms of the risk of the patient's damage, the quality of the handover report done by the nurses in the IMCU and the RES is better than that done by the nurses in a standard unit, this has been confirmed. The third hypothesis: Nurses consider the time consuming nature of the handover report at the patient´s bedside as the greatest difficulty, this has not been confirmed. The fourth and last hypothesis: Patients have a positive attitude towards the nursing handover report at the bedside, this has been confirmed by the research. The output of this thesis is to suggest a standard for the nursing handover report at a patient´s bedside. The results can be used for nursing managers, deputy directors of nursing, medical students and nursing professionals.

Assessment of legal updates on civil protection/defense in relation to trends in the area of civil protection/defense and comprehensive security of the population
ONDRÁK, Petr
The objective of this study is to evaluate the trends in individual periods of selected legal and sub-legal regulations on civil protection/defense in the Czech Republic from 1935 to the present. In addition to presenting an overview and description of individual legal provisions, the study also outlines the characteristics of the period in which the legal provisions were created, approved, and subsequently enacted. Three European countries were selected and briefly described for the purposes of the overview and comparison ? specifically, Italy, Switzerland, and Austria. In all of them, much emphasis has been put on the population?s protection, so that these democratic states have considerable and valuable experience in protecting their citizens in their respective geographic and historical setup. Using a multicriteria analysis, a comparison of legal provisions on civil protection/defense in the territory of the Czech Republic was made from 1935 to the present. Since it was not feasible to compare all the legal and sub-legal regulations in the given area, the study concentrated on the main legislation during that period. The period under study, i.e., 1935 to the present, was divided into segments where significant amendments were adopted in the area of civil defense in the territory of the Czech Republic. Subsequently, these main provisions on civil defense were detailed so as to make the primary objectives of the individual provisions obvious. The chapter containing compilation of the results describes selected key legislation in the periods from 1935 to 1961, then from 1961 to 2000, and finally from 2000 to the present, including a comprehensive table with a brief description of selected regulations. In conclusion, it was necessary to state that endangerment of the population, both with respect to civil and military threats, still exists. Therefore, it is essential to continue to amend and supplement the current legal provisions on a current basis, even though the legislation is very good, quality-wise, to be able to respond flexibly and effectively in the event that the population of the Czech Republic is exposed to any of the potential threats.
