Title of bachelor thesis: Comparison of stability evaluation tests for patients after brain damage from physiotherapist point of view Abstract: This bachelor's thesis deals with comparison of stability evaluation tests for patients after brain damage. The thesis is divided into theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part describes cerebrovascular accident, postural stability, and tests on assessment of stability. Tests on assessment of stability of patients after brain damage from the point of basic characteristics and parameters are compared in the practical part. At the same time, three case stories of patients, whose stability was assessed by selected tests, are provided: Berg Balance Scale, Mini- BESTest, and Tinetti Performance Oriented Mobility Assessment. Testing was done at the beginning and at the end of the rehabilitation program, after four-week interval. Results were analysed and compared subsequently. The thesis describes the importance of knowledge of the individual testing parameters to be able to assess whether condition of the patient has improved or deteriorated. Key words: stability, stroke, stability tests, measurement properties (clinimetric properties)
