Case Study of Physiotherapeutic treatment of a patient after implantation of total knee joint replacement

Title: Case study of Physiotherapeutic treatment of a patient after implantation of total knee joint replacement Objectives: The aim of this work was to elaborate a case report of a patient with a knee joint replacement, find theoretical background for this diagnosis and apply acquired knowledge in therapy. Methods: The work consists of a theoretical and a special part. The theoretical part deals with the anatomy and kinesiology of the knee joint, osteoarthritis and its treatment, an implantation of a total knee replacement as a surgical method of osteoarthritis treatment, rehabilitation after the implantation of the total knee endoprosthesis and appropriate physiotherapeutic techniques during patient's care after the implantation. A special part is elaborated in the form of a case study of a patient after an implantation of a total knee replacement. It consists of anamnesis, an entry kinesiological examination, records of therapeutic units, an outcome kinesiological examination and an evaluation of the effect of the therapy. Results: During the therapies designed according to the acquired knowledge from the theoretical part of the thesis, the patient's health status was improved.
