Attachment and Coping Strategies in a Clinical Sample
SLABÁ, Andrea
This bachelor thesis aims to describe various types of attachment of clinical and non- clinical population and compare them with recent coping strategies. The statistical sample consists of 111 respondents aged between 20 and 64 years. This sample is further divided into a clinical group (respondents suffering from addiction) and a non-clinical group. ECR-CZ questionnaire was used in order to inspect the particular type of attachment. Concerning stress situations coping strategies, we used SVF-78 questionnaire. The results have shown that there occur differences between the types of attachment of clinical group and non-clinical group. We also discovered that fearful - avoidant type of attachment differs the most. Respondents from this group tend to use rather negative coping strategies whilst avoiding positive coping strategies. There was no statistically significant difference between groups concerning the usage of different types of coping strategies.
