Role of glial cells in extrasynaptic communication
Syková, Eva
It is evident that during neuronal activity and pathological states, the movement of substances in the brain is not only hindered by the size of the pores between the cells, but also by the structure of the glial cells. These changes, together with K+ and pH changes in the ECS, affect the efficacy of interneuronal and neurone-glia communication.
