Quality of Work Life of the Visually Impaired

5 Abstract The thesis deals with the quality of working life of people with congenital and acquired visual impairment, where the group of people with visual impairment is not much studied in the conditions of the Czech labour market. The aim of the thesis is to determine the quality of working life of people with visual impairment working in the sheltered market. In order to fulfil the aim of the thesis, not only a search of the available literature is used, but also a qualitative empirical investigation carried out using the method of semi-structured interview of own construction and using the Subjective Quality of Work Life Indicator (SQWLi) by Jiří Vinopal. The thesis found that the subjective quality of working life of persons with congenital visual impairment and persons with acquired visual impairment differ, with persons with congenital visual impairment rating their subjective quality of working life higher than persons with acquired visual impairment. It was also found that the most important aspects for both groups of respondents are working relationships and self-realization, and the least important are finances and support for employment of the visually impaired by the state and other organisations.
