Zodpovedné správanie generácie Y v rámci spotreby potravín

This diploma thesis deals with responsible behaviour of the Generation Y in the context of food consumption. The aim of the thesis is to evaluate the behaviour of the Generation Y with a closer focus on university students working in the Czech Republic in the context of food consumption, based on quantitative research carried out by means of a questionnaire survey supplemented by qualitative research conducted through individual interviews. The primary research addresses the problem of food waste for a given consumers component, reasons for wasting and the factors that influence this behaviour. The thesis also proposes measures, which are created on the basis of conducted research. Measures for a given consumer component should lead to a reduction in food waste and a more responsible behaviour in the context of food consumption. Suggested recommendations include, inter alia, raising awareness and knowledge on the issue of food waste among university students, design an application to ensure better food management for consumers and serving half portions at half price.
