Economic and legal aspects of social entrepreneurship in the Czech Republic

The master’s thesis focuses on the economic and legislative aspects of social entrepreneurship in the Czech Republic. The work defines the basic theoretical basis for social entrepreneurship in the Czech Republic, describes the relationship of disabled persons to the labor market, and outlines the benefits connected to employing individuals with disabilities. The thesis further investigates the current situation in a specific sheltered workshop that is planning to expand its capacity. The conclusion of the thesis presents an evaluation of the advantages/profitability of such a project, summarizes the possible risks of entrepreneurship in the protected labor market, and offers suggested measures for the continuation of the sheltered workshop.

The theoretical part contains general knowledge about operations in the labour market, definition of small and central commerce and disabled people. The practical part shows the result of the analysis regarding the disabled people while employed in an area of small and central commerce in České Budějovice since 2014.

The Bachelor thesis ? Work attitude? deals with the main issues connected with the application of handicaped people to the working process. The first part of the work introduces basic terms of the topic. The second part deals with the empolyment of physically handicaped people. The third part describes the content of law Nr. 435/2004 SB., about empolyment, particularly employment of physically handicaped people. The fourth part provides specified information about unempolyment and the last, fifth part, describes the particular situation in the area of Český Krumlov. The practical part of the thesis is focused on a research whose topic was ?The attitudes to the topic of empolyment of physically handicaped people?. The research had been done in a form of questionnaires filled in by factories, school institutions and town halls in the area of Český Krumlov. The goal of this research was to find out as much information, opinions and attitudes to the current situation of the empolyment of physically handicaped people as possible. The essential question of the research remains that one asking the employers about their attitudes to the employment of such handicaped people.
