Creating a safe classroom climate by methods of drama education for beginning groups of students

The diploma thesis focuses on the creation of a safe classroom climate by methods of dramatic education for a beginning group of pupils. The aim of this thesis is to evaluate whether the methods of drama education contribute to the creation of a safe climate in the classroom. In the theoretical part, I will define the concept of classroom climate, school climate and mention here the main actors involved in its creation. The second half of the theoretical part focuses on drama education. The aim of this part is to map suitable methods of this education that contribute to building a safe climate. I devote the practical part to the preparation of several lessons for a group of fourth-year students who have no experience with drama education. Part of the practical part are specific lessons and their reflections, which record the development of the starting group. At the very end, there will be a comparison of the classroom climate before the introduction of drama education methods and after the implementation of individual lessons. To develop this part, I will choose a qualitative form of research, specifically the interview method with the class teacher. The interview will be conducted in two forms. Work with a group of beginners in drama education

The diploma thesis focuses opening a world of drama education to a group of young learners who are unexperienced at DE. The theoretical part aims to prepare readers to understand a beginner class specifics same as working with aim planning for a particular group of students. In the practical part of the thesis I construct one semester plan of aims for concrete collective of students and assess if the plan was made appropriately, if the goals were achieved and what changes must have been done to adjust the plan to real conditions. Furthermore, the practical part offers tips of lessons and their reflections and it maps development of the study group. Overall aim of the thesis is to bring to a reader theoretical background of working with a DE class of beginners, plan of goals for concrete group and its fulfilling.
