Creation of worksheets for teaching financial mathematics at lower and upper secondary levels
Dolák, Tomáš ; Novotná, Jarmila (advisor) ; Janda, David (referee)
In this thesis, I focus on the creation and application of worksheets for teaching financial mathematics in primary and secondary schools. Not only do these worksheets enhance students' knowledge of financial mathematics, but they also bolster their financial literacy. Furthermore, these tools can be employed to practice a range of skills such as programming, algorithm design, information retrieval, group discussions, and independent problem-solving. A key feature of these worksheets is their structure, which follows the Cornell Notes system. This system emphasizes formulating questions, taking notes, and creating indi- vidual summaries. Additionally, I have incorporated a student-centered self-assessment system into the worksheets, enabling students to track their achievement of the goals set by the worksheets. The main objective of this work is to create worksheets for teaching, and then test these worksheets in the classroom. Another aim is to analyze the students' solutions and propose potential approaches to individual tasks that teachers can implement in their lessons. After the students completed the worksheets, I analyzed their solutions and sub- sequently conducted a questionnaire survey among the pupils to gather further infor- mation. This survey either supported or contradicted my...

Volleyball in physical education classes at primary school
Králová, Hana ; Pokorný, Ladislav (advisor) ; Suchý, Jiří (referee)
At the beginning of my research, I will conduct a survey based on which I will find out how 9th grade girls master the game of volleyball, whether they have played it before or not, or how often they have played it, and how they are doing with individual volleyball skills. The initial investigation includes a questionnaire for female students in two selected classes and their volleyball skills testing. Based on the information found, I will prepare the lessons. I will have prepared one method of teaching volleyball for female students of one class - teaching individual game activities. I will teach them all volleyball skills, train with them and practice everything. E.g. two-handed uppercut (fingers), two-handed lowercut (digger), serve and attack stroke. And for the second class, I will prepare a different method of teaching volleyball - teaching free play. I will play mini volleyball with them. From the easiest yellow mini volleyball to the hardest blue mini volleyball. In yellow mini volleyball, only team players throw the ball to each other. In orange mini-volleyball, you catch the ball and then pass it to your teammates by hitting it with both hands with the top (fingers) after your own pitch. In the red mini- volleyball, it is possible to perform an intermediate rebound with both hands with...

Tomešová, Jana ; Chroustová, Kateřina (advisor) ; Rusek, Martin (referee)
This thesis looks into inquiry-based learning in chemistry classes at elementary schools. The objective was to design an inquiry-oriented task that would achieve the compulsory outputs of the acids and bases topic while at the same time complying with the goals of inquiry-based science education. The thesis includes the definition of inquiry-based learning specifics, describes the exact course of the proposed task, and subsequently the results obtained by its realization are verified and assessed. To evaluate the task, several materials were used: the outputs created by the pupils during the activities, answers collected from the initial questionnaires, the final knowledge tests, and IMI (Intrinsic Motivation Inventory) questionnaires. Based on the student outputs, the fulfillment of the set learning objectives was assessed. The pupils' progress in the newly acquired theoretical knowledge was evaluated by comparing the relative frequency of correct and incorrect answers in the initial questionnaire and the final knowledge tests. For the IMI questionnaires, the medians of the selected values in every dimension were determined, and utilizing Cronbach's alpha the internal consistency of the test was verified. Also, the Mann- Whitney U test was used to compare two lessons within the task. The...
