Preparation of nanocrystalline ceramic materials made from zirconia oxide
Vlček, Ondřej ; Prajzler, Vladimír (referee) ; Šťastný, Přemysl (advisor)
Bachelor thesis is focused on preparation of nanocrystalline stabilized zirconia ceramics. The theoretical part is dedicated to zirconia ceramics. Theoretical part describes and unveil the transformation-induced toughening mechanism in partially stabilized zirconia ceramics, the processing routes of these ceramic materials and their utilization. The research part describes preparation of yttria partially stabilized nanocrystalline zirconia ceramics by slip casting method.
Thermal stability of sputtered yttrium oxide layers
Kršňák, Jiří ; Boušek, Jaroslav (referee) ; Hégr, Ondřej (advisor)
This work deals with behavior of deposited yttrium oxide thin film after heat stress. Within solution thin yttrium oxide films were deposited at silicon substrates, which were exposed to various cycles of heat stress. Tested structures were investigated before and after heat stress in term of surface topography stability with the hepl of electron microscopy.

PHASE STABILITY IN MILLED Y2O3 AND W-Y2O3.
Illková, Ksenia ; Vilémová, Monika ; Lukáč, František
Properties of milling-induced high-pressure B phase in Y2O3 and W-Y2O3 powders were studied by differential thermal analysis and X-Ray diffraction. It was found that phase stability strongly depends on the heating rate and holding time.
