Modelling functions of two variables
SAMCOVÁ, Soňa
In this bachelor thesis we are working with programs Wolfram Alpha, wxMaxima and Google. These programmes are accessible without any licences. We are trying to process basic summary of function of two variables and at the same time provide some information about these functions. In the end of the thesis programmes are compared and evaluated. The thesis is focused on helping the students for better orientation during the study of function of two variables.
E-learning course of the use of computer algebra systems in mathematics education
KANDUS, Václav
This thesis deals with the topic of Computer Algebraic Systems (i.e. CAS). Its first part analyses and compares the freely available CAS programs regarding both the propects of development and user suitability of this particular application for a secondary school or a university (i.e. bachelor) student. The second part of the thesis concerns with certain theoretical points that are subsequently followed by more practical ones where the main objective is to propose and to put into practice individual course components, including the preparation of a~specific working environment which the course would be implemented in. The third (i.e last) part describes and accounts for particular selections made during the outline and realization of the e-learning course.
Introduction into wxMaxima
FILIP, Lukáš
The subject of this thesis is creating a brief but complex introduction into the wxMaxima program and its usage for calculations in basic schools and high schools. Part of the thesis are also solved examples and videos for a more transparent presentation of some chosen activities and operations dealt with by using the program.
Complex numbers, quaternions and their applications
BRDLÍK, Pavel
The bachelor thesis is dedicated to the topic of complex numbers and quaternions and their application. The main goal of this thesis is to familiarize with the subject of complex numbers and quaternions and their important properties and to present these terms with suitably selected examples. Complex numbers can be used among others to represent a planar rotational movement, quaternions can be used to represent rotations in three-dimensional space. The aim of this thesis is to provide a well arranged summary of the theory and a sample solution of practical examples that would illustratively demonstrate the application of complex numbers and quaternions by description of planar or spatial movements or their further applications.
