Non-destructive Detection Methods of Biological Activities Wood-destroying Insects
Kintr, Jindřich ; Král, Bohumil (referee) ; Fiala, Pavel (advisor)
The subject of this thesis is to study a non destructive methods and methodologies of detection biological wood pests. Analyzed method of detection in this thesis is non destructive acoustic detection. For scanning the activity of wood pests a sensor with piezoelectric converter is used and for scanning the ambient sound a sensor with an electret microphone is used. The signals from these sensors are subtracted in a differential amplifier. In this thesis we can find a method determine the similarity of two signals and a laboratory measuring of detection of activity of a wood pests (Hylotrupes bajulus).
Testing of wood with structure disturbed by defects and wood-destroying pests focusing on destructive tests of mechanical properties and wood protection
REJŽEK, Lukáš
The theoretical part summarizes pieces of knowledge about the most common defects and wood pests including their impact on the properties of the material. The following practical part describes the destructive testing of wood - its course, calculation and evaluation of results. The final section is devoted to the structural and chemical wood protection. There are introduced basic principles and methods of protection and in the last chapter there are some examples of companies in our region that performs chemical protection.

Defects and pests of wood
REJŽEK, Lukáš
This bachelor thesis describes defects in wood and wood-decaying biological pests. For wood defects are explained causes of formation and their impact on the workability and usability of the material. The chapters on insects and wood-rotting fungi are mentioned the most important kinds of pests, their development in the wood, the level of damage and marginally possibilities of prevention or pest control. The text is accompanied by pictures. A two-part presentation serves for practical use in teaching at primary and secondary schools. The work also includes a collection of defects in wood and wood-boring insect grub holes.
