Production of the material chamber to a blast furnace
Netopil, Lubomír ; Kubíček, Jaroslav (referee) ; Sigmund, Marian (advisor)
The theses deals with the production of furnace-top hopper. Mainly it is focused on the welding of abrasion-resistant materials and steel for pressure vessels using the FCAW method. These materials are described in detail in the research section, including the additional materials used, the welding methods used and NDT tests used to check the quality of the welds. The practical part then describes the technological process of production. Subsequently, the procedure of welding of the abrasion-resistant steels and steel for pressure vessels, including the developed WPS, is elaborated. The procedure of testing by non-destructive tests of selected combinations of materials with documented test reports and a plan of inspections and tests is also described. Finally, a technical and economic evaluation of production was performed.
Design of equipment for welding head path correction
Benáček, Filip ; Jaroš, Aleš (referee) ; Slaný, Martin (advisor)
The work presents the problem of welding of membrane walls intended for application in power boilers. Furthermore, the use of the MIG/MAG method for welding and the advantages of using the CMT method. An innovation has been made for the welding process in the form of laser scanning of the surface and subsequent use of the data to correct the welding head. This led to the automation of the whole process. Because of the necessary testing of the laser scanner function, a test structure was designed and constructed. It was necessary to consider the appropriate wall scanning strategy and subsequent data processing in terms of the overall manufacturing process. The software designed to evaluate the scanned profile placed a point using a suitable tool on the scanned profile. The set of points was further filtered for a smoother resulting path formed by these points. The resulting points were fed to the output signal from the laser device to correct the path of the welding head. Both the welding and the surface scanning will be done simultaneously, so the settings for the laser scanner were created and stored in the internal unit of the device. This allows the laser to operate without connecting to a computer.
Design of a robotic workplace
Jaša, Lukáš ; Řiháček, Jan (referee) ; Štroner, Marek (advisor)
The bachelor thesis is focused on the design of a robotic workplace. In the initial phase, the input requirements of the workplace are defined, according to which the final design must be processed. Furthermore, the text contains a recherche of the current state of robotization. The third chapter is generally composed of four variants of different workplace designs. In the first of these four variants, all components are described in detail, which are also included in the remaining three designs. This variation was chosen as the most suitable possible solution. The reasons why this workplace is considered to be the most ideal are also described in detail in the chapter. In general, the robotic workplace is designed for welding steel frames of power generators. All manipulation is ensured by a welding robot together with a positioner. The operation of the entire robotized complex is performed by only one operator. In the fourth chapter, in addition to the reasons for choosing the most suitable variant, all weld lengths on the frame are calculated together with the time of complete manipulation and welding time. It also shows the time for which the designed manipulator is able to make the final product in the form of a weldment. The time for which the frame was manufactured by hand welding is also given for interest. The given results show a clear increase in production productivity in the designed workplace.
Variant production technology of a fan impeller
Macháček, Marek ; Varhaník, Matúš (referee) ; Zemčík, Oskar (advisor)
The thesis considers a change in the manufacturing technology of a fan impeller from welding to 3D printing. The wish of the manufacturer was to investigate if such a change is possible and financially profitable and decide on a further approach to manufacturing. Models were created using information from the manufacturer and using them, conditions for manufacturing the impeller in the 1:1 ratio were derived. Based on the new technological process and the experience from prints a new price calculation for the fan impeller using 3D printing was created.
From deposition to caldera resurgence: pyroclastic density current dynamics as revealed by magnetic anisotropy of the Teplice rhyolite, Bohemian Massif
Vitouš, Petr ; Tomek, Filip (advisor) ; Mlčoch, Bedřich (referee)
Better understanding of pyroclastic density current (PDC) dynamics is one of the key volcanological focuses, as PDCs represent one of the most life-threatening volcanic hazards. PDCs associated with explosive collapse calderas are difficult to observe and examine directly, and thus research of internal architecture of calderas and their PDC deposits is focused on extinct and partly eroded volcano-plutonic systems. Such a case is the Late-Carboniferous Altenberg-Teplice caldera in NW Bohemian Massif, which exposes a large body of ignimbrites (deposits of the PDC) called Teplice rhyolite (an intra-caldera fill). This body is well exposed on the southern flank of the Krušné hory/Erzgebirge Mts., mainly its members: Teichweg, Lugstein-Pramenáč, Vlčí kámen-Medvědí vrch and Přední Cínovec. As these ignimbrites appear macroscopically isotropic, I employed the Anisotropy of magnetic susceptibility (AMS) in order to quantify their internal structure. A total of 1232 specimens from 63 sampling stations were analyzed for the AMS, complemented by susceptibility vs. temperature variations and petrographic observations. Obtained AMS data, carried by a mixture of paramagnetic ferrosilicates and low-Ti titanomagnetite, indicate various processes recorded in ignimbrites. The relatively oldest and moderately welded Teichweg...
The options of the joining of tube components
Holusek, Maxmilián ; Štroner, Marek (referee) ; Peterková, Eva (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals with tube components joining methods. In the thesis, the preparation of the tube components is mentioned, as well as its tools and machines for cutting and adjusting the components. Furthermore, the work introduces several joining methods such as soldering and brazing, welding, pressing technology, adhesive bonding and threaded connection. The basic principle is described for each method, as well as using tools and machines plus advantages and disadvantages. In the end, the use of tube components is presented.

The bachelor thesis deals with the production of damask steel and the subsequent manufacture of a knife. The theoretical part contains a technical description, the history of Damascus steel and its current use. The practical part includes a detailed design of the knife's own prototype, the technological process of damask steel production, grinding the shape of the knife, its heat treatment and making the handle. The result is the realization of the production of a damask knife according to the chosen technological procedure and the evaluation of the resulting prototype.
A device for welding 3D printing filament
Roden, Lukáš ; Škaroupka, David (referee) ; Krčma, Martin (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis deals with filament welding in 3D printers. During the print, there is often an extra part of the filament, that can be no longer used due to its small length. In this thesis I deal with the equipment construction for connecting these remnants of the cord or even longer pieces. In the first part is a search which deals with types of 3D printers, material of filaments and the issue of the welding process. In the second part, the acquired knowledge is used to create your own device design. More precisely, the analysis of the usability of individual materials and construction designs. In the last part I deal with a specific form solution of individual components.
Development of a methodology for calculating the residual stresses of a weldment in the Salome Meca software environment
Babišta, Jan ; Pokorný, Jan (referee) ; Vosynek, Petr (advisor)
The usage of welding in the process of manufacturing has become very widespread, mainly due to its low cost, versatility and the possibility of its automation. With its expansion comes higher demand for the possibilities of weld evaluation during the phase of design. Nowadays its possible to use tools based on finite element method for such evaluation. But the most commonly used tools are often very expensive. Therefore, the possibility of using Open-Source tool such as Salome-Meca to simulate the welding process as an alternative to commercial software was investigated. The first part of the work deals with the welding process and a description of the formation of residual stresses and deformations. It also deals with the description of the Salome-Meca software environment and the Code-Aster solver. In the next part the capabilities of the software in relation to problem of welding simulation are discussed. Furthermore, the goemetry of solved weldment, welding conditions, material properties and boundary conditions of the calculation are described. And finally, the individual solutions, their results and disadvantages of used approaches.
