Smart cottage
Sýkora, Martin ; Dosoudilová, Monika (referee) ; Marada, Tomáš (advisor)
The thesis deals with the design and implementation of a smart house system. The system is controlled by a logic module SIEMENS LOGO!, which provides object monitoring or continuous temperature measurement. System status is regularly logged. A web user interface has been created to transmit information and control the system by user.
Database for Genealogical Models
Vanka, Michal ; Zbořil, František (referee) ; Kočí, Radek (advisor)
This work, which extends the DEMoS project, deals with solving efficient storage of genealogical models in the database. For this purpose, different types and specific solutions of database systems are compared to find the most suitable one. After selecting the right solution, a structure for storing genealogical records is created, emphasizing the reduction of data redundancy compared to the original system for storing people in the DEMoS project. The work provides this system with a web user interface for the practical possibility of integration into the DEMoS project and convenient work with the database system.
User Interface for Web-Based Games
Hlaváč, Martin ; Beran, Vítězslav (referee) ; Hradiš, Michal (advisor)
This thesis describes challenges in designing, developing and testing web user interfaces. It discusses human-computer interaction, communication channels and user interface analogy to the real world. User interfaces can be designed     to be optimal for a specific action or to suite the user. A design of interfaces focused on users utilize methods, such as gamification and improving user experience, which can improve interface usability. User interface development is demonstrated on     web page development. Further, the thesis describes 3 web user interface testing methods. The methods are demonstrated by designing, developing, and testing user interface of a web strategy game.

Web user interface desing tools for end users
Vadlejch, Petr ; Buchalcevová, Alena (advisor) ; Nekvasil, Marek (referee)
The main objective of this document is to introduce available web user interface design tools to readers from general public. This document is organized into several chapters that include theoretical and practical information about selected applications and tools according to their main purpose. It is necessary to distinguish between graphical design tools, design of structure (wire frame), design of prototype, tools for final website generation like WYSIWYG or programs that combine visual and code instruments. The final results evaluation is based on practical experience with application and tool testing. The main contribution to the topic discussed throughout this document lies in the ability to bring an overview of basic application tools available on the market. It is important to mention again that all introduced tools do not require any programming skills.
