The bachelor thesis aims at forming a new variant of production components „sole plate“ which has a character of a flat block with stepped protrusions. The main points of the work will be component analysis, description of the conditions under which the solution was carried out, description of the current technology, proposal of a new technology as well as their final comparison and the results assessment. The work is focused on forming a more effective manufacturing process which would replace the current one.

The second part of the bachelor’s thesis describes workpiece and existing technological process of its production. The last part of bachelor’s thesis consists of design of new step–drilling combined tool and its implementation to new technological process.

Design of a small universal grinder for sharpening tools

This thesis deals with the design of a small universal grinder for tool sharpening. The thesis begins with an introduction to the issue of tool sharpening, drilling, milling, and turning. Further, a market research and analysis of user needs is conducted. Based on these findings, several different variants of devices and methods for grinding are proposed, from which one is selected. Based on the selected variant, a 3D model and drawing documentation of selected nodes are developed. The functionality of the design is verified by basic calculations.
Machining of vulcanizing molds from aluminum alloys

This diploma thesis is focused on the issue of deep drilling of vulcanization molds from various aluminum alloys. The work will describe a brief description of machined materials and tools for deep drilling, including the production of the vulcanization mold itself. Based on experimental measurements, the analysis of data and knowledge gained from deep drilling of aluminum alloys with different silicon contents will be performed. In the end, the individual components of force loads for both machined materials will be compared
Design of drilling arm for machine-tool

The thesis deals with the design and deformation analysis of the real construction, which is a complement to the machine tool. The introductory part is devoted to the theory of drilling technology and extension of machine tool possibilities for this method of machining. The next section contains the design of the drill arm and the subsequent analysis in ANSYS to verify that the structure fulfill the requirements. At the end, the effect of changing the dimensions of the arm on the resulting rigidity and its functionality is assessed.
