BLÁHOVÁ, Petra
This thesis deals with integration process for visually impaired child during preschool and elementary education. Basic information and importance of family during integration are provided as well as basic terminology connected to visually impaired child and its integration into society. The aim of this thesis is to give professional view of integrational education of visually impaired children, describe and analyse educational past and present of visually impaired pupil. The thesis is divided into two parts, a theoretical and a practical part. The theoretical part gives definition of basic structures which are connected with visual impairment. First chapter deals with visually impaired child, its classification, definitions and most frequent ophthalmological diagnosis. In second chapter specifics of visually impaired children can be found - cognitive functions, motor skills and socialization. Compensatory possibilities are provided in chapter three. It also concerns with visual, tactile and auditory perception and higher compensatory senses. Last chapter focuses on the education system of visually impaired students. It describes conceptual and legislative framework, preschool and elementary education, its specifics and factors affecting process of education in the main educational stream. The practical part is focused on specific student who was incorporated in usual kindergarten as well as in kindergarten for visually impaired children. Later on, she was attending usual elementary school. I used case study for my practical part. My goal was to demonstrate methodological procedures which were used during student's integration into the main educational stream. The research shows that elementary school tries to get visually impaired student involved in the main educational stream. However, all complete options concerning visually impaired children cannot be substituted. Student works more with the teaching assistant than the teacher. Classroom socialization turns out to be successful, although there are no other students with disabilities and she would welcome one.

KADLECOVÁ, Jana
This Bachelor's thesis looks into the cohabitation of the St Anežka Centre for People with Disabilities' clients. The reason for my choosing of this subject is my interest in the matters of mentally impaired persons. The goal of this Bachelor's thesis is to describe the long-term interpersonal relationships between the St Anežka Centre for People with Disabilities' clients as well as the activity of social workers and social service workers. The thesis is divided into a theoretical and a practical part. The theoretical part is further divided into six chapters. In this part of the thesis, key terms such as the St Anežka Centre for People with Disabilities, disability, mental impairment, visual impairment, interpersonal relationships or social services are defined. The practical part includes results obtained using the qualitative research strategy, interviewing and the semi-structured interview method. The interviews were conducted with the St Anežka Centre for People with Disabilities' clients who attend its social rehabilitation residential programmes as well as social service workers and a social worker. The data were evaluated using the grounded theory. This thesis might serve as a feedback to both the staff and the clients of the St Anežka Centre for People with Disabilities or those interested in the issue. During the research I discovered that the residential clients are mostly satisfied with the services and have good relationships with each other. However, one of the clients has been constantly disturbing the peaceful coexistence of the other clients. The social worker had to terminate the social service contract with this client. I also found out that a social worker is responsible for social rehabilitation, independent living support and socially therapeutic workshops. The social service workers are in charge of various activities within social rehabilitation and socially therapeutic workshops.
Creation of didactic aids and adaptation of teaching materials for children with visual impairment of preschool age
HOLMANOVÁ, Barbora
The bachelor thesis deals with the creation of didactic aid and adaptation of teaching materials for children with visual impairments of preschool age. The aim of the bachelor thesis is to gather an adequate theoretical base for the chosen topic and on its basis to process an overview of the modification principles and creation of didactic aids and teaching materials for children with visual impairments of preschool age. A partial goal of the bachelor thesis is the practical creation of a didactic aid (in this case it is a didactic book) and its subsequent evaluation in pedagogical practice. The didactic book is intended for a particular boy with a specific visual impairment who attends a kindergarten for visually impaired children. The book is designed to accomplish the basic requirements of a tactile book - to develop the child's tactile perception and fine motor skills. The book focuses on general development - pre-mathematical literacy, sequence and recognition of basic colors. At the same time, the book should educate the child in a non-violent way and be fun for the child, or as they say: "Learning through play".
The system of training guide dogs in the Czech Republic
HOVORKOVÁ, Zuzana
The aim of the work lies in the current knowledge of the system of training guide dogs in the Czech Republic. A partial goal is a qualitative analysis and comparison of the phase of handing over the guide dog to clients with visual impairment in individual institutions focused on guide dog training in the Czech Republic. To fulfil these goals, a qualitative strategy was used in the design of a case study focused on the description and comparison of the training system of guide dogs with an emphasis on the analysis of the phase of handing over the compensatory aid. An interview and document analysis were used for data collection. The work is divided into two parts, the theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part includes three chapters. The first chapter deals with the concept of an individual with visual impairment, spatial orientation, and compensatory aids. The second chapter describes the system of training the guide dog, from the breeding itself to the actual delivery of compensatory aids. The last chapter of the theoretical part deals with institutions that mediate the training of guide dogs. The practical part of the bachelor thesis contains a research goal and a research question. Data were collected through a qualitative survey and the following methods were used: semi-structured interview and document analysis. Participatory observation was not performed due to the Coronavirus pandemic. Five out of ten organizations that provide guide dog training in the Czech Republic took part in the research. In accordance with the defined goal, a research question was formulated: "What are the differences in individual organizations of the Czech Republic, practicing VP, in the phase of handing over the guide dog to the client?" The findings of the survey showed that the institution differs only in that not all organizations offer clients the opportunity to be with their future guide dog alone and for the duration of this phase. It usually lasts 14 to 21 days, but some organizations approach individually and adjust the length of this phase to the needs of an individual. The qualification thesis can be used as a study material for students of humanities-oriented study programs. The results can serve as practice feedback for institutions that train guide dogs.
