Master´s thesis tries to show the aspect of the rest areas in the landscapes in Czech republic and design the resolution, how to deal with this situation. Design of set for unique location shows one of the possibilities how to work with furniture to a rest areas. Main elements of the collection are benches, bike holder and information panels designed just for one area - CHKO Pálava.

The subject of this diploma thesis is the structural solution design of folding garden furniture, namely furniture for outdoor use. This solution ensures easy handling when keeping furniture away from bad weather or when not using it during the winter season. Specifically, this is an armchair assembly with a footstool. The armchair has the possibility of positioning the backrest. The furniture is complemented by a dining table for two people and a side table in order to achieve a pleasant stay in the exterior. This design solution was created to fulfill the requirements of a particular company and its production possibilities. The very solution is based on the current range of corresponding garden furniture in the actual European market. Further knowledge was needed in the field of anthropometry, ergonomics, furniture design and material information. The design solution is supported by the standards and technical and safety requirements. The work is supplemented by the drawing documentation, bill of materials, economic evaluation of the material costs and visualizations.

This thesis investigates the influence of weather conditions on the properties of the film.There was selected six kinds of tree species, which are used for the manufacturing of the outdoor furniture the most. There was a request for possibility to grow this kinds of trees in the Czech Republic. There was used five shades of color on the each tree species. Samples were tested at the laboratory before putting to the exposure and when the summer season was over, samples were tested as before. In discussion there is statistical comparison of changes which occurred on the surfaces of the samples. In the end of the diploma thesis is evaluation which are the best tree species and the best color shades for the manufacturing of the garden furniture.

In this bachelor thesis is solved the application of suitable surface finish of outdoor furniture made from solid oak and larch. There are compared three kinds of solvent-born semi-transparent wood stain with various characteristics. There were used low-build semi-transparent stain, high-build semi-transparent stain and semi-transparent stain of cream consistency. Physical-mechanical properties of the surface are evaluated depending on weathering (humidity, sunlight, temperature). There are give comparison of changes by the world side and changes of unexposed samples that were saved in a box and packed in the black foil without access of air and sunlight. This thesis is supported by laboratory measurements during the exposure period which was 4 months.
