Zahradně architektonická studie obytného souboru z 2. poloviny 20. století
Nezvalová, Veronika
The main task of the diploma thesis was to design the area of housing estate from the second half of the 20th century. The thesis is divided into three parts. The first theoretic part has two other chapters, when first of them deals with problems of collective housing of the mentioned period. There is a more detailed description of the main factors, which brought an intensive housing development, then description of the key concepts for a correct orientation in the mentioned field and also specifics which are related to living in housing estates in general. The second chapter brings summary of many examples of designing the housing in Czech Republic as well as abroad, which illustrates various principles for solutions of other housing estates. The second part of the diploma thesis contains more detailed analysis of the chosen model area. All of the required analysis was done in a broad range to understand every single relation in the particular area. On the basis of this definition improvement proposals were defined for the design of the urban area of housing estate in Bohunice. The last part contains principles how to design particular problems and threats in the chosen model area. Some principles could be used in the process of designing of the similar types of housing estates. The diploma thesis elaborates the particular parts of the different function and social importance, however together make an united urban district. Main central square, park and two housing units were designed in detail.
Využití mechanizačních prostředků při údržbě městské zeleně
Drábková, Petra
The first part of this Bachelor thesis deals with a definition of city vegetation, with a description of methods of operation (working procedures) and a use of a mechanical equipment in the sphere of maintenance for this type of vegetation. The paper analyzes current knowledge about this group of machinery and describes individual working procedures for which are the machinery designed. The second part attempts to find and gather current supply on the market of selected machinery for the city vegetation maintenance with the emphasis on modern technologies which are employed in this area. The final part concentrates on a specific area of Park Lužánky in Brno; prepares a plan of maintenance, suggests technologies and mechanization for year-round maintenance of this park.

Schwarzová, Kristýna
The literature review is about a system of green infrastructure and describes possibilities of park designs in order to create relaxing places in the cities. The practical part of this thesis is focused on the proposal of a renewed park in Hradec Králové.The investigated area is located in the historical center near to Pospíšilova street in the Silesian Suburbs, where used to be a park. However, nowadays it is only a treelined space. This architectural study has been focused on the renewal of this historical urban park. Funkční vazba veřejné zeleně a dopravního systému města Přerova
Janovská, Hana
The goal of the bachelor work is to evaluate functional linkage of the greenery and transport system of the Přerov city. Theoretical part describes each function of the greenery and the role of environment and transportation. Practical part shows author's own measurements of traffic volume and noise level. It was found that the hygienic limit (60 dB for day period) was exceeded on all three sites of measurement, once by more than 15 dB. Measurements behind greeneries resulted in noise reduction by 5dB to 10 dB. Greeneries are found more in living areas in Přerov, while in the city center and industrial areas there is no or a very little greenery planted. Another output of the work is the created map of the city with the current and proposed state of planted greeneries.
Greenery of public spaces in new residential areas (residential areas on the outskirts of the cities)
Horká, Julie ; Kyselka, Mojmír (referee) ; Otruba, Ivan (referee) ; Urbášková, Hana (referee) ; Wittmann, Maxmilian (advisor)
In the current post-industrial society, with increasing requirement of sustainability, greenery significantly participates in the spatial, operational and functional organization of the urban environment. The first part of the thesis introduces relationship between formation and structure of greenery in an urban environment from the historical point of view. Elements of greenery in an urban environment and on its margins filled a variety of functions: from productional and aesthetical to the recreational and ecological. Green areas have also gradually become an important public space. In the current urban environment, areas of vegetation arise mainly in the form of recultivation of post-industrial areas, adjusted smaller parks, greenery of business and entertainment centers, or greenery of residential units. The thesis is focusing on the last mentioned type, which should be in the closest coexistence with residential environment and on the possibilities of creating eco-residential units, which can become a substitute /or at least one of the possible options/ to mono-functional residential zones emerging on the outskirts of our cities and in the open countryside and act against the ongoing suburbanization and its negative effects. The text of doctoral thesis is trying to find qualitative aspects of greenery which supports the creation of living, attractive and sustainable public spaces. Comparison and evaluation of selected examples from abroad /Austria, Germany, Holland/ and also from the Czech Republic brings us the definition of the necessary and optimum qualitative properties of greenery in public, but also semi-public spaces of residential complexes. These examples of good practice may be used - as a whole or in parts – as inspiration for the development of residential projects in the Czech Republic, either in preferred brownfields areas or in carefully selected areas of new development. The final chapter emphasizes the inseparability of the creation of public spaces and greenery in residential areas from the sustainable development of the area in terms of a penetrable and compact city.
Residential complex Brno - Reckovice
Macečková, Eliška ; Havlík, Václav (referee) ; Herzan, Radovan (advisor)
The area is located in the north part of Brno (Řečkovice a Mokrá Hora) and is surrounded by a housing estate. To the south of this area is a complex of former barracks. In our project we propose to use the area as a residential district with public amenities. Sports ground and the park are included. Currently there are terraced houses and separated family houses. We especially use low-floor blocks of houses with no more than four floors. Orientation of the blocks corresponds with the fact that this area is on the north slope. Family houses with gardens are situated on the east side of the area. The area is accessible from the Žilkova street (on the east) and from the Terezy Novákové street (on the west) – buildings on this street make a noise barrier. The square of our area is next to this street and represents a public place with public amenities (for example a retirement house and a school of art), underground car park and a pedestrian precint leading to the park. A tram stop is nearby. Sports ground and the park are situated in the north part of the area. In the central part we find the kindergarten. Underground car parks for the residents are under the blocks and its courtyards.
Town planing study "Zbrojovka"
Bílek, František ; Dominik, Vladimír (referee) ; Herzan, Radovan (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is a revitalization of the grounds once belonging to Zbrojovka Brno. These grounds are in the zoning map defined as “brownfield”. Within Brno’s limits, the area has an extremely convenient location. Since the grounds are situated in the central part of Brno, the complex is in terms of traffic and transport in the vicinity of both, the current and the newly planned ring-road. Important factors influencing the project are the river Svitava which borders the west side of the area, and a railroad corridor skirting the east side of the location. Assigned area was, for the purposes of this thesis, expanded by the grounds once belonging to Zetor and the adjoining area towards Markéty Kuncové Street. Several buildings from the former grounds, which fit in into the urban concept and were in good technical conditions, have been preserved. From a functional point of view, the newly designed grounds will meet all the requirements for a fully independent municipal district. The multifunctional development contains primarily housing complexes, administrative buildings, public facilities, recreational areas, as well as other functional structures. The urban concept of this project is a result of a study of surrounding blocks. Based on an analysis of the size and height of these buildings, an idealized block was designed and then recreated into a symmetrical raster of blocks with the street width of 20m. This raster was subsequently applied to newly designed points of entry into the area. Total urban and mass proposal of the development areahas been further influenced by principal conceptual points. Among these conceptual points belong the perspective axes which connect the conceptual points with an orientation point, in this case the former factory’s smokestack. Creating a new arm for the Svitava River is another point. Taking into account that the whole vicinity of the factory grounds is without quality public greenery elements.
