This thesis focuses on the study of varroatolerance of honeybees. The first, theoretical part engages in the compilation of findings in varroatolerance of honeybees from previously published scientific papers. The second, practical part focuses on the evaluation of the data obtained from the winter and post-treatment fallout of Varroa destructor from the years 2011 to 2015, hygienic behavior from the years 2002 to 2003 and from 2007 to 2015 in the AF Mendelu apiary and varroasensitive hygiene. The results confirm that monitoring the fallout, the selection to improve hygienic behavior of bees and the monitoring mite reproduction in the cells of the comb, has its own importance for increasing varroatolerance of honeybees. In the future it is necessary to examine this issue further and refine the testing methodology of mite reproduction for the Czech honeybee population.
