Vliv věku při 1. otelení na užitkovost a dlouhověkost dojnic
HARANTOVÁ, Barbora
In this bachelor thesis, it has been dealt with evaluating an influence from level of rearing during the first calving to the performance and longevity of dairy cows from chosen herd near VOD Svatobor. Gathered data has been filtered and ordered due to cause of exclusion, age in first calf, order of lactation and lifelong performance. There were 100 dairy cows to be observed together with their market production of milk. From this set 63 cows were from Czech mottled breed and the rest 37 cows from Holštýn's breed. Cows from both breeds has been housed in same stable and with the same aliment and treatment conditions. From results we can see that belated swallowing has little influence on the amount of produced milk. On the other hand, belated swallowed cows, so even calved cows, did not produce larger amount of milk. The only advantage of belated swallowing has been higher percentage of fat and proteins in milk. The most frequent reason of exclusion in both breeds has been illness of udder. Due to this fact cows were excluded on 1.67 lactation in average. The illness of udder may be caused by insufficient hygiene or incorrect milking procedure.
Vyhodnocení reprodukce u populace masného plemene Aberdeen Angus
JUNGWIRTH, Václav
Aberdeen Angus is the most prevalent beef breed on the World and the second in the Czech Republic. The features of the breed are early maturity, very strong mothering instinct, resilience and flexibility. The aim of this bachelor thesis was to compare the fertility indicators and growth ability of calves depending on the age of heifers' first calving. The biggest group of heifers of period from 2003 to 2015 were calved up to the age of 28 months, the total number of 53 % (3 375 pcs). Followed by group over 36 month in which 24 % heifers (1 542 pcs) calved. The least common group were heifers who firstly calved at the age of 28 36 months, total of 23 % (1 450 pcs). The lowest longevity was indicated at the age of 6.24 years in the group up to 28 months. The longest longevity was reached by cows from group over 36 months with the average age of 7.7 years. The best results of calving interval were represented by cows calved up to the age of 28 months. The difference between groups in case of live weight and a height at cross was proved as statistically highly significant (p < 0.001). The avere number of calves was highest within the group firstly calved up to 28 months, 3.92 pcs. The lowest number of calves 3.39 was registered within the group over 36 months. The average count of stillborn calves was 4.59 %, for the heifers it was 7.28 %. The highest number of stillborn calves was within the group of 28 months represented by 5.10 % and for heifers 8.29 %. Statistically highly significant difference was found in the birth weight of calves. The highest difference within the weight of 365 days old calves was 42.1 kg between the group up to 28 months and the group over 36 months in behalf of the group up to 28 months.
Influence of selected factors on the quality of colostrum and calves during milk nutrition
DVOŘÁKOVÁ, Petra
The basis of every breeding is successful reproduction. Without quality care for cows during pregnancy and aftercare for cows and calfs the company can not prosper. There is a series of aspects that may have negative impact on the quality of the colostrum, which affects the viabilityof the calves. The aim of this work was to literary review the effects that have an impact on the quality of the colostrum and on the calves itselves during the colostrum nutrition and the lactic nutrition. Among the analyzed effects there were selected order of lactation, age at the first calving, level of productivity, season of born of the calf, length of the dry period and the process of bloody discharge. All the data used in this thesis was obtained from reports of registration of bovine animals and reports of productivity monitoring of the agricultural association Černovice from May 2013 to December 2014. The monitored group was made of 243 cows of Czech Pied cattle and 233 calves. The paper contains an evaluation of a quality (density) of the colostrum reviewed by order of lactation, age at the first calving, level of productivity, season of birth of the calf, length of the dry period, calving interval and bloody discharge, it also contains the correlations between lactation and the quality of the colostrum, the age at the first calving and the quality of the colostrum, level of productivity and the quality of the colostrum, the season of birth of the calf and the quality of the colostrum, the time of the dry period and the quality of the colostrum, the bloody discharge and the quality of the colostrum, the length of the interim period and the quality of the colostrum and the viability of calves and the quality of the colostrum.
