Comparison of biomass production and dry matter content of sugar and grain sorghum
LIŠKA, Zdeněk
The diploma thesis focuses on comparison of biomass production, dry matter of grain sorghum and sweet content. Four hybrids of sweet sorghum and one hybrid of grain sorghum were chosen for the evaluation. A small-parcel experiment with a line spacing of 0.75 meters was established for the comparison. The experiment was going on for two years. Two years of monitoring showed the differences in yield on biomass and dry matter of individual hybrids. A great potential of biomass and dry matter production in convenient weather condition and the ability of the yield produc-tion in dry and hot conditions by sweet hybrids emerge from the two years results. A grain hybrid yielded a small amount of both biomass and dry matter in both years.
Vliv minerálního hnojení na výnosy a kvalitu polopřirozeného travního porostu
Štros, Michal
This diploma thesis is focused on research of fertilization effect and the intensity of use on species composition of permanent grassland in the habitat of Kameničky. Factors which were evaluated are these: fertilization intensity (unfertilized, PK, 90N+PK and 180N+PK) and the intensity of use (double-cutting and triple-cutting grassland). The evaluation was carried out in 2013 and 2014. The results show that in grasslands fertilized with nitrogenous fertilizers the proportion of grass increases (P < 0,05) and the proportion of herbs decreases (P < 0,05) in comparison with unfertilized grasslands. At the same time dry forage yield increases (P < 0,05). Grasslands with high production of quality forage, however species-poor are the result of increasing nutrients dose. Unfertilized grassland are species-rich but with the low value of quality grasslands. Double-cutting grasslands had higher average yields than triple-cutting grasslands. However, triple-cutting grasslands had higher values of Hill's diversity index than double-cutting.
Yield potential of selected energy grass
SAMEC, Jakub
The aim of this thesis is to compare the yield and suitability of selected energy grass (Elymus Elonganus , Phalaris arundinacea L.) for direct combustion . The work includes a review of literature dealing with characteristic energy grasses agrotechnical requirements and general issues of growing. Attention was paid mainly to the aforementioned grass. The practical part deals with the establishment of field trials and monitoring of the proceeds from each harvest. Vegetation Elymus Elonganus, Phalaris arundinacea L. were based variant fertilized intensively, extensively and digestate .
Energetical usage of phytomass for heating of buildings
JIŘÍK, Jaroslav
The bachelor thesis deals with energetical usage of phytomass for heating of buildings. The issue of biomass and energy crops were described based on available literature. The main objective was to compare Miscanthus, Phalaris arundinacea and Festuca arundinacea in terms of biomass yield, dry matter yield and the heat of combustion. Four wood pellet machines were studied in terms of energy consumption and the rate of pellet production. It was found that the annual costs of production of the required quantity of pellets (including costs of planting) for a model house built by current technologies were different by individual plants. The costs of heating using pellets of Phalaris arundinacea were 16 349 CZK per year, using Miscanthus 13 519 CZK per year and using Festuca arundinacea 9 749 CZK per year. It was concluded that to use the pellets made of Festuca arundinacea is the most advantageous possibility of heating.
