Evaluation of the Trial Section for Under Sleeper Pads
Murínová, Klára ; Langer, Vojtěch (referee) ; Plášek, Otto (advisor)
Under sleeper pads (USP) are elastic pads on underneath surface of the sleeper. Their main advantage is reducing of stress in track bed, slowing down a deterioration of track quality, life extension of railway track and reducing life cycle cost. There are three trial track sections in the Czech Republic in which are USP used. The influence of the USP is continuously monitored. The bachelor thesis is focused on the Ústí nad Orlicí trial track section. This thesis describes measurements of the track level by the precise levelling method and measurements of the stress in track bed carried out in the 2016 and 2017 and their evaluation and comparison with previous measurements in the 2015.
Design of reconstruction of railway stations Šternberk nad Bohuňovice
Šatánek, Jan ; Brůha, Bohuslav (referee) ; Plášek, Otto (advisor)
The design of reconstruction of railway stations Šternberk and Bohuňovice comprises the proposal to increase the line speed of the main track to the maximum possible value, the design of station tracks and reconstruction of railway switches and crossings, the design of the new platforms, which implements the requirements for people with reduced mobility and the design of new drainage system. Next, the design of reconstruction comprises the design of the railway superstructure and substructure and the design of railway level crossings.
Switch and Crossing Design for High Speed Lines
Raif, Lukáš ; Šestáková,, Janka (referee) ; Plášek, Otto (advisor)
Different requirements for track structures, switches and crossings have recently gained prominence, in part, due to preparations of high-speed lines across the Czech Republic. High-speed turnouts must fulfil many criteria, because the speeds on main line turnouts normally reach between 250 and 350 km/h. The main requirement, which most structural modifications and turnout improvements deal with, is to reduce dynamic load. The PhD thesis aims to research in particular possibilities for reducing dynamic load caused by passing vehicles; primarily by track stiffness optimization by fastening system modifications. The work is based on the observation of a test section in Ústí nad Orlicí railway station, where switches and crossings with modified fastening systems were installed. The evaluation is then used as a basis for designing of a rail fastening system to optimize the track stiffness in high-speed switches and crossings to reduce the dynamic effects.
