Vkládání výchovných dřevin do dubových porostů na lužních stanovištích Kojetínska
Berčík, Vojtěch
The content of this bachelor thesis was the issue of maintaining a more dynamic growth of the small-leaved linden (Tilia cordata Mill.) in the understories of oak stands (Quercus robur L.) at the floodplains around the town Kojetin. The work consists of three phases. In the first stage the height structure of selected stands and the social status of lime trees were evaluated. In the second stage, experimental educational intervention (trimming the linden at a given height) was accomplished. And in the third phase, this experiment was evaluated. The research was in progress between 2016 and 2018, during this time an experiment was established and two control measurements were done. The results confirmed a more dynamic growth of the linden compared to the oak. The results also show that linden restores its growth well after cutting the above-ground part. The results of the influence of the cutting height on the subsequent linden growth rates have failed to prove due to enormous pressure of the roe deer in this area.
