Internet television within next generation access networks
Szymeczek, Andrzej ; Sládok, Ondřej (referee) ; Grenar, David (advisor)
The topic of the bachelor thesis is „Internet Protocol Television at the Access Networks of the New Generation“. The aim of the project is to make the network where internet television service is functional and after then to test the facilities and specifications of this network. The theoretical part of the project is focused on the basic characteristics and specifications of the internet television service. Further in the project is description of the network protocols for multimedia data transfer in real time and way of the transmission through the network. The simulation is designed in the simulation program GNS3. The simulation contains functional model of the network and because of the simulation is possible to run video streaming through the network. The transvered data and sideeffects, which have an influence on the function and quality of the stream, are analysed. Also the differences between unicast and multicast streaming are considered.
