Determination of the formwork strength of concrete using a Silver Schmidt hardness tester
Janka, Marek ; Kocáb, Dalibor (referee) ; Cikrle, Petr (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deal with the issues of nondestructive testing of the formwork removal strength of concrete. It works with two different compositions of concrete and for both of them, it determines the relation between compressive strength and surface hardness obtained by the SilverSchimdt hammer with mushroom plunger. It shows inappropriateness of ultrasonic impulse method to determine formwork removal strength. It compares obtained relations with each other and with the literature. The goal of this thesis is to utilize determined relations for verification of minimal requested formwork removal strength during construction.
Inspection and preliminary survey of the road bridge
Kocuba, Robert ; Heřmánková, Věra (referee) ; Cikrle, Petr (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis is dealing with inspection and preliminary survey of the bridge by performing the tests of concrete compressive strength on bores. In the theoretical part is performed the review of literature, documents and applicable standarts, focusing on bridge terminology, records of bridges, types of inspections, tests of bridge constructions and material, which was used on bridge constructions in the first half of twentieth century. In the practical part are evaluated the tests of concrete compressive strength on bores and tests of hardness. The result of this part is the condition assessment of the bridge, based on the inspection. For every part of the construction is assigned the strength class of the concrete, based on the tests. Also, the conceptual design, which relates to remediation of the chosen bridge construction, is processed.
Using fuzzy clustering in modelling of hardened concrete properties
Haluska, Lukáš ; Vymazal, Tomáš (referee) ; Misák, Petr (advisor)
Compressive strength is one of the most monitored parameter of hardened concrete and it is usually determinated by destructive testing. Non-destructive testing applied on existing constructions uses regression analysis to estimate compressive strength. High variability of outputs and eventually failure of necessary requirements for using regression analysis complicate these methods. The aim of this thesis is to show posibility of using fuzzy clustering in this topic and to compare outputs with classic methods.
