Use of natural and secondary materials in creative activities in kindergarten

The bachelor thesis is focused on natural and secondary materials used for artistic creation in kindergarten. Main purpose of this thesis is creating practical set of this kind of products. This set and assessment of some ideas production with children (including photos) generate practical part of this thesis. Theoretical part is dealing with psychic evolution issues of pre-school children and also is approaching environmental education in kindergarten referenced to Framework education programme for pre-school education.
History of traditional crafts of the Čestín area and their use in freetime activities today

My work deals with the history of recent explotation of handicrafts in the relationship to a countryside and freetime activities. When describing the history of handicrafts and the life in a countryside, I supported my work with information I got from a specific literature. The interviews with the autochthons are used to testify the information about villages in the firsth half of the 20th century, when the handicafts performed an important task in an everyday life. I dedicated most of my attention to basket-making for which there are some more particular information about the history, materials and techniques used when making baskets. In a part of my work, dedicated to the recent use of handicrafts as freetime activities, I speak from my own experience with organising a craftmaking worshops in Čestín. My work reflects a view of one, to whom the traditional handicrafts offer a good way of artistic self-realisation, that helps improving creativity, patience and satisfies one?s intelectual interest about history and tradition, as a counterpart to our modern world.
The use of natural materials for the creative activities of children at the nursery school

The aim of this thesis is to point out the essentiality of the use of natural materials for creative activities and playing at the nursery school. Using natural materials is the easiest way for children to make empirical knowledge of the resources and the environment they live in, which creates and enforces a positive relationship towards the living environment, the understanding of the connections within and the importace of its protection. This thesis contains several suggestions how to make use of natural materials suitable for children at nursery schools and describes the practical realization of some of these projects as well as its preparation and subsequent evaluation.
