Analysis and programming of trochoid interpolations on a CNC machine
Jílková, Ingrid ; Ohnišťová, Petra (referee) ; Píška, Miroslav (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with the analysis and programming of the trochoidal milling which is verified by interpolation in a CNC machine. The theoretical part of thesis deals with the research of the dynamic milling, in particular about the trochoidal milling. This part is focused on the mathematical description, creation of algorithms and the types of trajectories. It explains the cutting conditions as the cutting section of a chip, force loading and as well the quality prediction of the machined surfaces. Furthermore, it clarifies the advantages and the reasons of use of the trochoidal milling. The practical part of the thesis deals with the analysis and the experimental verification of the parametric programme for the selected application. At first, it is explained how were the trochoidal and the linear milling programmed. Next, it describes the programming of the trochoidal interpolations and their analysis with regard to the cutting section of a chip, force loading and the quality of the machined milled surfaces depending on the input parameter – the feed speed. This part presents the comparison of the trochoidal and the linear milling methods and their evaluations which are also done with regard to the cutting section of a chip, force loading and the quality of the machined surfaces. This part also suggests recommendations for practice depending on the results and it also contains the techno-economic assessment.
