The resocialization process of persons providing sexual services
JANOUŠKOVÁ, Andrea
This bachelor thesis deals with the process of resocialization of persons providing sexual services. The aim of the thesis is to determine the methods and techniques used in working with this target group, to describe the process, and to examine the role of the social worker in this process. The thesis is divided into theoretical and practical parts. The theoretical addresses the theoretical definition of sexual work, its typology, history, and legal framework. It also examines the motivations of sexual workers that lead them to provide sexual services, as well as the motivations that cause them to leave sexual services. The thesis analyzes the social work provided to these clients, its methods and techniques, and the process of resocializing clients. The practical part focuses on research conducted using a qualitative research strategy, the method of questioning, and the technique of semi-structured interviews. The research sample consisted of five social workers who work with clients in sexual services. The collected data were evaluated using open coding and categorization. The research shows that the methods and techniques of social work with clients providing sexual services include individual work and fieldwork, focusing on the comprehensive use of available techniques such as crisis intervention, motivational interviews, and active listening. Furthermore, the research indicates that social workers, during the resocialization process, must pay attention to health care, social security of the client, and their return to the legal labor market.
