Analysis of set of factors affecting safe longitudinal distance between vehicles

The doctoral thesis deals with problems of a safe longitudinal distance between vehicles. It includes an analysis of a set of factors influencing the safe distance between vehicles and is concerned with a research of effect of many of these factors on observance of the safe longitudinal distance between vehicles. In connection with these factors, this work deals with the solution of this issue in neighbouring countries through statutory measures, then with statistical analysis of traffic accidents in the Czech Republic caused by non-observance of the safe distance, also problems of assistance systems operating in this area, and subsequently, based on the findings, there are recommended suggestions of actions to increase safety in this area of road transport.

Zusammenfassung Das Thema der Diplomarbeit ist Verkehrskriminalität und ihre Prävention. Ich habe dieses ausgewählt, weil ich es sehr aktuell betrachte. Der Verkehr ist gegenwärtig ein üblicher Bestandteil unseres Lebens. Verkehrkriminalität betrifft fast alle Menschen. Jeder von uns kann sowohl Obfer, als auch Täter werden. Zugleich handelt es sich um das Thema. Das die Aufmerksamkeit noch nicht verdient. Angesichts der Schadenhöhen, der Anzahl der Todesfälle und der Verletzten handelt es sich um einen Bereich, der einen erheblichen Einfluss auf das Leben sowohl der ganzen Gesellschaft, als auch einer individuellen Person hat. Das Hauptziel dieser Arbeit ist es, die Hauptuhrsachen der Verkehrkriminalität zu analysieren und anschlieβend die Vorbeugungen zu erzielen. Die Diplomarbeit besteht aus Einleitung, 3 Kapitel und Schlussvollgerung. Das erste Kapitel widmet sich Fenomenologie der Verkehrskriminalität. Es werden hier die Fachbegriffe von Vekehrsdelikten erklärt, die üblichsten Verkehrsstraftaten beschrieben und es wird auch aufmerksam auf Besonderheiten dieser Art von Straftaten gemacht. Das 2. Driving under the influence of alcohol in the general population

Je faktem, že alkohol je aktuálním a celosvětovým problémem. Statistiky nám ukazují, že asi čtvrtina úmrtí, se přisuzuje alkoholu za volantem. Proto se ve své výzkumné práci zabývám problematikou řízení motorového vozidla pod vlivem alkoholu u obecné populace. Zajímají mě důvody, které vedou řidiče k usednutí za volant a profil rizikového řidiče. V práci píši o účincích alkoholu na člověka a psychologických aspektech. Popisuji také možnosti prevence v dopravě a zároveň informuji o aktuálních statistikách nehodovosti v ČR pro rok 2011 a 2012.Cílem práce je zjistit všeobecnou rozšířenost řízení pod vlivem alkoholu mezi českými řidiči. Dále sestavit profil rizikového řidiče a důvody, které řidiče k řízení pod vlivem alkoholu vedou. Moje první hypotéza je, že muži řídí pod vlivem alkoholu častěji než ženy. Druhá hypotéza je, že mladší řidiči budou řídit častěji. A poslední hypotézou si chci ověřit, jestli řidiči s nižším vzděláním, budou řídit pod vlivem alkoholu častěji. Metodou výzkumu jsem zvolila dotazník o uzavřených a otevřených otázkách. Dotazník byl předán respondentům v písemné formě elektronickou cestou, ale i osobně. Teaching tool in case of chemical accident

Learning programs using simulation technologies are not just a suitable form of replacement for classical textbooks. They are a brand new teaching aid using Jan Amos Komenský's old motto "Schola Ludus" is a school game. The combination of a virtual and realistic environment with simulation models enables students to visually explore the possibilities of dealing with an emergency situation. One of the projects implemented by the non-governmental nonprofit organization Center for Safe State Project Software Applications 3D simulator. The motivation for choosing the topic of my thesis is that I have been working as the head of a laboratory in a chemical plant for several years. One of the main activities is the transport of dangerous chemicals by road and rail, or operations related to packaging, loading, filling and unloading of such chemicals. My daily activity is responsible for preventing the occurrence of undesirable risks with regard to the protection of persons, property and the environment. To create a textbook for 3D simulator and consequently to use it in the framework of teaching was the main aim of this work. It is important to realize that dangerous substances can escape almost at any moment, so it is necessary to create conditions for the prevention of these events. The success of this area is mainly a good, systematic and coordinated preparation of decisive activities. The diploma thesis is divided into two parts. The theoretical part briefly summarizes the basic knowledge and information about the given issue. There are described the most commonly used software tools and their use for teaching. I deal with the model solution of the accident in the transport of dangerous substances in the practical part, the scenario being created includes a description of the activities that are involved in the management and solution of an emergency. This knowledge was subsequently used to create learning text.
Analysis of the Causes of Traffic Accidents Involving Vehicles and Pedestrians on Selected Pedestrian Crossings

A master’s thesis deals with a problem of traffic accidents on pedestrian crossings. A theoretical part describes causes and following responsibilities of all participants of the traffic accident. Furthermore, the theoretical part analyzes a traffic system and its individual parts. A practical part of this thesis describes all measuring tools used for collection of data during the analysis. The data was obtained during a real traffic on chosen pedestrian crossing in Brno A tool used for analysis is called eyetracer. Furthermore, an evaluation of collected data and following analysis were carried out. Eventually, results were compared with reports about accidents which happened on chosen pedestrian crossings.
Technical interpretation of selected provisions of Act No 361/2000 Coll. concerning road traffic

Diploma thesis deals with oficial causes of road accidents and their consequences. In the first part are defined basic terms connected with traffic accidents, their classification and statistical records. The second part is focused on analysis of long – term statistics of traffic accidents in the the Czech Republic for the years 1996-2015, which aim has been assed the total number of accidents, their causes and consequences. The results of the analysis have been compared to other European countries or states associated in OECD. In the context of theoretical part have been characterized legal and also technical interpretation of selected terms of act no 361/200 coll. concerning road traffic. Conclusion of the thesis is based on application of legal and also technical interpretation in case studies with real road accident.
Ways of education of first aid in driving schools

The thesis "Ways of education of first aid in driving schools," focuses on the teaching system of medical training in driving schools. According to the statistics, on our roads there are approximately 250 traffic accidents every day. Many of them then request injury or the death. At that moment, the immediate help after the accident is crucial for the survival. This help shall be provided by other road users. Each driver should attend the first aid training as part of the course at a driving school and should be ready for this situation. In the thesis, there was applied mixed research, set one goal and three research questions. Data collection method for the qualitative part were the interviews with the owners of some selected driving schools, which were completed with the anonymous questionnaires filled by alumnuses and students of driving schools in the quantitative part. The research results show that teaching in various driving schools can differ, both in the form of training, as well as in the thematic content topics and qualifying education of instructors. The research has also found out that training in some driving schools do not meet the legal requirements, especially in respecting the amount of hours, and the ratio of theoretical to practical teaching. For the practice, this research shows, that there should be a change in the current system in order to proceed the teaching of medical training well and according to the applicable legislation. The research has also found oud the view and reservations about the current system of teaching the first aid in driving schools, both from the owners of driving schools, as well as the students.
Evaluation of fatal traffic accidents

The aim of bachelor’s thesis is the evaluation of the influence of variable surface characteristics of roadways (skid resistance and longitudinal unevenness) on fatal traffic accidents in The South Moravian Region in 2011. This bachelor’s thesis contains characteristics of chosen high accident locations and measurement results of the longitudinal friction coefficient and longitudinal unevenness of road surface.
Analysis of Indicators of Vehicular Traffic Accidents in the ČR

This bachelor thesis deals with car accidents. It focuses on analysis of influence accident´s indexes and their partial prognosis for the future. It researched the number of accidents, their seriousness and the amount of material damage. Attention is focused on vehicle´s park and age of vehicles. This analysis is performed primarily for the use of time series. Materials for analysis are taken mainly from statistical data of the Police of the Czech Republic. Furthermore, the work addresses the impal of legislative changes already made, which should lead to improvement of the current state. In the propered solution is outlined possible steps to resolve the issue and evaluace previously adopted legislative changes or other state intervention.
Technical acceptability of witness and participant testimonies at traffic accident

This master’s thesis deals with issues of road traffic accidents from the perspective tes-timonies of witnesses of road traffic accidents, especially in terms of the space and time per-ception and in terms of the content development changes during time. This issues are solved at first theoretically, gained knowledge is then used by several real accidents. For each traffic accident was selected several questions important to solve its course and in the testimonies of witnesses and participants have found the answers to these questions. In the responses were monitored technical acceptability and content development of the testimonies during time, and then were made ratings of the technical acceptability of the each answer and score rating of compliance with the previous testimony. This allowed determining for each witnesses or participant and for every traffic accident level of technical unacceptability responses and the level of testimonies content development changes during time.
