Investments in certain commodities (diamonds)

This bachelor thesis is devoted to the issue of an interesting investment in commodity markets and trade opportunities with it. It is a diamond that is seen in the majority such as a luxury jewel and not as an investment. Diamond price level has growing tendency and can be considered for more solvent investor attractive investment for the future. Local market is not currently widespread and popular as abroad. The first part of thesis describes the general characteristics of diamond, the basic criteria for the evaluation of investment diamond and diamond trading system on market. The second chapter focuses on the actual investment, pricing and global development of prices in the world. The thesis also shows on the advantages and disadvantages of this investment facility. The thesis will provide insight into the problems of investing in diamonds and give potential investors the opportunity to input information about the diamond market.

This bachelor thesis deals with new investment commodity - diamonds. Especially in the Czech capital market diamonds are not known and widely used investment. But this is a new conservative investment with growing value. And it is interesting for new investors. Diamonds also has a lot of disadvantages. The biggest disadvantage is that it is hard to sell it on the Czech market. This option has only diamond traders. Some Czech companies offers purchase of diamonds. Unfortunately it is not for the best price. Diamond trade is still imperfect and is not transparent in the Czech market. Investors should consider all the disadvantages and whether they are able to grapple with them.
