Deformation and stress analysis of the parts of the total replacement of the trapeziometacarpal joint
Svojanovský, Tomáš ; Marcián, Petr (referee) ; Fuis, Vladimír (advisor)
The presented diploma thesis builds on author’s bachelor’s thesis of the similar name which was focused, in particular, on rhizarthrosis. Because of this joint disease, implantations of the total joint replacement are performed. The bachelor’s thesis also served as a familiarization with the finite element method and contact analyses issues, giving a theoretical framework for this diploma thesis. As opposed to that, the diploma thesis aims entirely at deformation and stress analysis of the total replacement. The main objective is to carry out analyses of different variants of geometric models. In addition, there is a tendency to analyze contact pressures of advanced model concerning all the total replacement, bone tissues, ligaments and tendons guaranteeing the static equilibrium of components. The bachelor’s thesis has been developed in ANSYS Workbench, whereas the diploma thesis in ANSYS APDL. Work in APDL allows user to control better over the entire computational process, however, requires more skills and theoretic knowledge. Contact analyses bring a lot of problems associated with convergence of procedures and accuracy of results. Therefore, explanations of important terms and set of recommendations are included for the purpose of easier solving of the contact problems.
Comparison of hemispheric and conical cup in the total trapeziometacarpal joint replacement
Kukučka, Ivan ; Švancara, Pavel (referee) ; Fuis, Vladimír (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with the comparison of total replacement of a trapeziometacarpal joint with a hemispherical cup and replacement of the same joint with a conical cup. In both cases of implants, these are types of replacements with dual mobility. The focus of the diploma thesis is the comparison of the transfer of forces from the head of the prosthesis to the trapezius bone through the different shape of the cup. The work was processed using computer software ANSYS Workbench 19.3.
Complex problems of total coxa arthroplasty and the possibility of physiotherapeutic intervention
SMITKOVÁ, Aneta
This bachelor thesis is aimed at the complex total hip joint replacement problematics and its possibilities in physiotherapeutic positive influence. The theoretical part of this thesis describes the anatomy and kinesiology of the hip joint, implantation of the total hip joint replacement and subsequent rehabilitation. In the individual subchapters artificial joint classification, operating procedures, surgery cicatrix, patient education, contraindications, representative indications, functional malfunctions and its hip joint impact, preoperative and postoperative rehabilitation, physical therapy and rehabilitation from abroad perpective can be found. Quantitative research method was applied in the practical part. The representative sample compunded of 3 representatives. The most important criterion for them was to have had the total hip joint replacament done not longer than 3 days ago. The research included half-structured interview, input and output kinesilogical analysis and the collected data analysis. Each representative underwent 10 therapies, which were composed of my own excercise unit and physiotherapeutic procedures. The data analysis collected over those 10 therapies has shown that excercise unit of mine with the chosen physiotherapeutic procedures has improven those patients overall physical condition, has lower their lower limb swelling and its pain, has enhanced their joint scope, its active mobility and muscle strenght. This bachelor thesis might serve as either a useful resource of information regarding the total hip joint replacement problematics for professionals in this field or for patients awaiting or having underwet this surgergy. Last but not least current and future physiotherapist may also find this thesis useful in their work.
Kasuistic of the patient with total knee repalacement on the left side
Lazarová, Marie ; Malá, Jitka (advisor) ; Hankovcová, Eva (referee)
Title: Kasuistic of the patient with total knee replacement on the left side Summary: This study focuses on the kazuistic of the patient with total knee replacement on the left side. It consists of two sections - a general part and a specialized part. The general part discusses the composition of the knee joint, types of knee replacements, indications for surgery including knee osteoarthritis which is the most frequent reason and common physiotherapeutic approaches during the post-operative period. The specialized part forms the main part of this study. It describes the process of physiotherapeutic patient care after a total knee joint replacement surgery and an evaluation of the therapy's effect. Key words: knee joint, total replacement, knee osteoarthritis, physiotherapy, rehabilitation plan

Case Study of Physiotherapeutic treatment of a patient after implantation of total knee joint replacement
Tichý, Lukáš ; Maršáková, Kateřina (advisor) ; Hankovcová, Eva (referee)
Title: Case study of Physiotherapeutic treatment of a patient after implantation of total knee joint replacement Objectives: The aim of this work was to elaborate a case report of a patient with a knee joint replacement, find theoretical background for this diagnosis and apply acquired knowledge in therapy. Methods: The work consists of a theoretical and a special part. The theoretical part deals with the anatomy and kinesiology of the knee joint, osteoarthritis and its treatment, an implantation of a total knee replacement as a surgical method of osteoarthritis treatment, rehabilitation after the implantation of the total knee endoprosthesis and appropriate physiotherapeutic techniques during patient's care after the implantation. A special part is elaborated in the form of a case study of a patient after an implantation of a total knee replacement. It consists of anamnesis, an entry kinesiological examination, records of therapeutic units, an outcome kinesiological examination and an evaluation of the effect of the therapy. Results: During the therapies designed according to the acquired knowledge from the theoretical part of the thesis, the patient's health status was improved. Keywords: Knee joint, total replacement, osteoarthritis, physiotherapy, case study.
Physiotherapy procedures for early loading of the joint after total hip replacement
VRÁNOVÁ, Šárka
Bachelor thesis is focused on physiotherapeutic procedures in the early loading of the hip joint after total replacement. Thesis consists of a theoretical and practical part. The first part describes anatomy of the hip joint, types of total replacement, indication for surgery, contraindications and possible complications. Theoretical part mentions also rehabilitation after total hip joint replacement and other possibilities of physiotherapy. Practical part is focused on case reports of patients who completed the total hip joint replacement surgery. The patient completed an in-house kinesiological analysis, a questionnaire, an exercise unit training and an outpatient kinesiological analysis. The aim of the thesis was the mapping of the possibilities of physiotherapy in patients with THR during early loading. Another goal of the thesis was a designing and creating an exercise unit for auto-therapy in THR patients. The research questions related to the possibility of physiotherapy in THR patients, as well as the impact of an individually designed exercise unit on the patient's health status. The result of the study also reflects the accuracy and frequency of exercises. The thesis summarizes the possibilities of physiotherapy after THR, design of therapy and exercise unit. The thesis can be used in the practice of physiotherapists or also as educational material for students and patients.
