BACHELOR THESIS ABSTRACT Author: Dominika Roztočilová Supervisor: doc. MUDr. Petr Fulín, Ph.D., MBA Consultant: Ing. Milan Šebek Title: Results evaluation of reverse shoulder arthroplasty during physiotherapeutic intervention Abstract: This bachelor thesis deals with the topic of reverse shoulder arthroplasties and functional outcomes of the shoulder joint after the implantation. The aim of this thesis is to apply described physiotherapeutic approach to a selected group of patients and to evaluate the outcomes of shoulder joint function at given intervals during the postoperative physiotherapeutic intervention. The aim of the thesis is also to analyse current studies about this topic, compare the results and compare the effectiveness of different physiotherapeutic approaches. The theoretical part summarizes knowledge about the anatomy, kinesiology of the shoulder girdle and biomechanics of the shoulder joint. It also discusses shoulder replacements, especially the reverse implants. Furthremore, principles of physiotherapeutic postoperative intervention are described and physiotherapeutic approaches are outlined. The practical part of the thesis is procesed in the form of a research. It includes 8 patients who underwent implantation of a reverse arthroplasty and subsequent physiotherapeutic intervention. Function animation of hip joint replacement
Sláčík, Tomáš ; Jaroš, Jan (referee) ; Nečas, David (advisor)
This bachelor thesis focuses on the function of the hip joint and its loading under variable kinematic and loading conditions. The main objective was to create animations of common daily movements.
Deformation and stress analysis of the parts of the total replacement of the trapeziometacarpal joint
Svojanovský, Tomáš ; Marcián, Petr (referee) ; Fuis, Vladimír (advisor)
The presented diploma thesis builds on author’s bachelor’s thesis of the similar name which was focused, in particular, on rhizarthrosis. Because of this joint disease, implantations of the total joint replacement are performed. The bachelor’s thesis also served as a familiarization with the finite element method and contact analyses issues, giving a theoretical framework for this diploma thesis. As opposed to that, the diploma thesis aims entirely at deformation and stress analysis of the total replacement. The main objective is to carry out analyses of different variants of geometric models. In addition, there is a tendency to analyze contact pressures of advanced model concerning all the total replacement, bone tissues, ligaments and tendons guaranteeing the static equilibrium of components. The bachelor’s thesis has been developed in ANSYS Workbench, whereas the diploma thesis in ANSYS APDL. Work in APDL allows user to control better over the entire computational process, however, requires more skills and theoretic knowledge. Contact analyses bring a lot of problems associated with convergence of procedures and accuracy of results. Therefore, explanations of important terms and set of recommendations are included for the purpose of easier solving of the contact problems.
Biomechanical Study of Hand
Krpalek, David ; Janíček, Přemysl (referee) ; Horyl, Petr (referee) ; Florian, Zdeněk (advisor)
This work deals with issue of human wrist and appropriate total wrist implant allowing a restoration of hand mobility approaching physiological condition after traumatic and degenerative diseases. Treating these diseases are very complex. These issues including a biological and medical issues. To determine the appropriate treatment method and select right total wrist implant is important to know the behavior the human wrist at all stages in terms of medical and biomechanical. For this reason, it was developed a biomechanical study including computation model of human wrist allowing solution of strain and stress of hand in physiological and pathological conditions and condition after total wrist implant. The frost remodeling of bone tissue was used for analysis of human wrist bone tissues and bone tissues after application of total wrist implant RE-MOTION™ Total Wrist.
Complex problems of total coxa arthroplasty and the possibility of physiotherapeutic intervention
SMITKOVÁ, Aneta
This bachelor thesis is aimed at the complex total hip joint replacement problematics and its possibilities in physiotherapeutic positive influence. The theoretical part of this thesis describes the anatomy and kinesiology of the hip joint, implantation of the total hip joint replacement and subsequent rehabilitation. In the individual subchapters artificial joint classification, operating procedures, surgery cicatrix, patient education, contraindications, representative indications, functional malfunctions and its hip joint impact, preoperative and postoperative rehabilitation, physical therapy and rehabilitation from abroad perpective can be found. Quantitative research method was applied in the practical part. The representative sample compunded of 3 representatives. The most important criterion for them was to have had the total hip joint replacament done not longer than 3 days ago. The research included half-structured interview, input and output kinesilogical analysis and the collected data analysis. Each representative underwent 10 therapies, which were composed of my own excercise unit and physiotherapeutic procedures. The data analysis collected over those 10 therapies has shown that excercise unit of mine with the chosen physiotherapeutic procedures has improven those patients overall physical condition, has lower their lower limb swelling and its pain, has enhanced their joint scope, its active mobility and muscle strenght. This bachelor thesis might serve as either a useful resource of information regarding the total hip joint replacement problematics for professionals in this field or for patients awaiting or having underwet this surgergy. Last but not least current and future physiotherapist may also find this thesis useful in their work.
