This thesis is focused on the artist Vít Soukup, who was one of the most interesting artist of the 1990s and after 2000. His artwork included painting, movies, cartoons from photos and also the theatre. He was interested in motives that were not such popular back then, such as nostalgy, normalization, collective memory of the socialistic culture and also the change of régime and conditions after revolution in 1989.
