Use the MABC - 2 test battery to measure the level of motor in Men's Artistic Gymnastics
SLANINA, Ondřej
The bacherol thesis is focused on the testing and evaluation in motoric skills of sports gymnasts (n=14) aged between 8 to 13 years in gymnastic center Merkur České Budějovice. For this experiment was used the methody called "MABC-2 formula" (Movement Assessment Battery for Children 2nd edition), it consists of eight test items that are divided into three components. Individual components focus on testing fine motor skills (manual skill), gross motor skills (aiming and catching) and balance. After performing the MABC-2 test and obtaining gross scores for each item, we created tables and graphs of component and total test scores (TTS). The results we compared to the standardization norms this test battery. Based on this comparison, we evaluated the level of motoric skills of a observed group of sports gymnasts.

Holubová, Michaela ; Kobesová, Alena (advisor) ; Štveráková, Tereza (referee)
The children from all over the world suffer from ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder) and this disorder is a great social, educational and medical problem at schools. The thesis compares their handwriting before and after three months, during which the children were using the aids for the dynamic sitting. The experimental section includes four casuistics of children with ADHD, the results of standardized test MABC-2 for the evaluation of children's fine and gross motor skills and balance and a detailed analysis of writing from the point of view of specific features. The effect of therapy was evaluated using the total score which was recalculated to percentiles in the test MABC-2, handwriting was evaluated using specific features in the script. The therapy revealed itself as effective. Keywords ADHD, test MABC-2, sensory processing,...
Use the MABC - 2 test battery to measure sport motor gymnastics
PLAVCOVÁ, Adéla
The graduation thesis is focused on the evaluation in motoric skills of sports gymnasts (n=18) aged between 7 to 10 years. The whole study took place in České Budějovice in the Merkur center with the support of a gymnastic team. For this experiment was used the methody called "MABC-2 formula" (Movement Assessment Battery for Children 2nd edition). The MABC-2 test is a standardized test that verifies a level of the motor function while indicating motor difficulties and difficulty in coordination. It consists of eight test items that are divided into three components. Individual components focus on testing fine motor skills (manual skill), gross motor skills (aiming and catching) and balance. After performing the MABC-2 test and obtaining gross scores for each item, we created tables and graphs of component and total test scores (TTS). We compared the results to the standardization norms this test battery and with other researches in this field that deal with motor testing using the MABC-2 test battery. At the basis of this comparison, we evaluated the level of motor skills in the tested group of gymnasts. This thesis confirmed that gymnasts achieved in all components above-average results. For evaluation of the gymnasts balance skills the MABC-2 wasn´t sensitive enought.
