The subject of this bachleor thesis is to introduce cooperative games, Shapley value and its application to economics and other human interests, using mathematical methods. This thesis is devoted to the important concepts and characteristics , which are illustrated by examples. The thesis also focused on describing selected classes of coalitional games and applications of Shapley´s value. These resulting findings are used in a model of election.
The influence of the Taiwan's democratization on the cross-strait relations and on the prospect for completion of the Chinese unification

In my master thesis I analyze the influence of Taiwan's democratization on Cross- Strait relations. The thesis is structurally divided into three main periods: the pre- democratization period, democratization period and the period since the first power alternation in Taiwan. The first chapter analyzes the emergence of the Cross-Strait issue, the period of the Japanese colonization, the Post-Second World War Period, the Chinese Civil War and Cold War period until second half 80s. It points out the main external and internal factors, which influenced the Cross- Strait relations development and also the development of both Chinese states. The subject of the second chapter is the Taiwan's democratization and its internal and external leverage. Based on A. Przeworski's Theory of Games I am comparing the Taiwan's democratization to the Tiananmen incident. At the end of the second chapter I am comparing political system and regime of both Chinese states and I am pointing out salience of Taiwan for China. The final chapter examines the period of the first power alternation in Taiwan and how it influenced the Cross- Strait relations. It analyzes the issue of Taiwanese identity and sovereignty. Game Theory and poker

Society regards still poker as a form of hazard but in fact it is a " game of skill". The game where one must make correct decisions and manage ones money. Luck plays no role in the long-term time frame of the game because players make rational choices similar to that reported in mutual transactions among economic entities. Bachelor's thesis focuses on impact of the game of poker to origin the Game Theory and summarizes the specific features of the game. It explains its use by founders of the Game Theory as a suitable model for solving strategic situation in zero-sum games. The second part describes role of poker in economic history to its current developments. Seeking answers to the questions associated with a wide-growing popularity of the game: why people are willing to play poker, why poker is trying to change a position of gambling game and be taken as a sport activity. In this part, I also have used the model of Friedman-Savage utility function to point out the motivation of profesional poker play to make a living through playing poker. The last part of the work deals with the development and expansion of online poker. It describes the regulation, security answers and legal obstacles which have been arisen by its dynamic development in the market in recent years.
