Combustion of Solid Fuels in Rotary Kiln and Influence of their Composition on Emissions
Bojanovský, Jiří ; Jegla, Zdeněk (referee) ; Puchýř, Radim (referee) ; Máša, Vítězslav (advisor)
The work is focused on the study of the influence of solid fuel composition on the formation of pollutants during combustion in a rotary kiln. This is a highly topical issue related to the need to increase the share of alternative fuels as a substitute for fossil ones. The author builds on the research already carried out in this area, defines the basic characteristics of the problem under study and formulates hypotheses based on the summary of the current state of knowledge. The main hypothesis is ("The composition of the solid fuel mixture can be chosen in such a way as to reduce the generation of pollutants.") To verify this hypothesis, the author chooses experimental verification in combustion tests on a semi-operational experimental device. For the combustion tests, it was proposed to extend this equipment with apparatus that allows the evaluation of the fouling rate of heat transfer surfaces and the formation rate of particulate matter pollutants. This equipment was successfully used for combustion tests of 6 selected alternative fuels (refuse-derived fuel RDF, sewage sludge, and forest waste). Based on the combustion tests conducted with these sub-fuels, 6 fuel mixtures with high potential for industrial applications were defined. These mixtures were also burned in a rotary kiln. Based on the results obtained, the main hypothesis of the work was confirmed and the fuel mixture consisting of 70 wt.% forest waste, 20 wt.% RDF and 10 wt.% sewage sludge (MIX 6 in the work) was identified as the most suitable alternative to fossil fuels. This mixture did not show any operational problems and the best results were obtained in the formation of gaseous pollutants and particulate matter. The results of this work are a crucial point in the search for a methodology for the specification of suitable alternative fuel blends for combustion in the energy and manufacturing industries.
Production of threads with taps
Juránek, Martin ; Dvořák, Jaromír (referee) ; Píška, Miroslav (advisor)
This Bachelor thesis deals with the issue of production threads with taps. The introduction of th work briefly describes the use of thread in machine-building, thread geometry and basic types of threads. The work goes on to describe the methods tapping and thread control function. The work also deals with the description of types of taps, tool materials and the description of the three most used types of coating in taps. The experimental part adresses the question of whether the thicker layerof the TiN coat leads to an extension of the tool life. Two types of taps were used in the experiment. One type of taps had a coating thickness of 3-4 m and the other had coating thickness of 5-6 m. The experiment included measuring of time-dependent torque. The measured data were processed and subsequently evaluated whether the thicker coating layer resulted in reduced tool wear and increased tool life.
Production of threads in thin-walled parts
Václavek, Petr ; Slaný, Martin (referee) ; Kalivoda, Milan (advisor)
The aim of this bachelor thesis is to describe and compare technologies used in a production of threads in thin-walled parts. It includes descriptions of commonly used materials for these parts and their qualities, that may have an influence on the thread production. The following are the descriptions of different methods of manufacturing threads directly into thin walls, forming different types of bushings and anchoring threaded fasteners. Special focus is on a comprehensive analysis of processes of welding, riveting and pressing nuts. The technological and economic suitability of each solution is then compared.

Security inspection of network traffic
Kult, Viktor ; Havránek, Martin (advisor) ; Ladislav, Ladislav (referee)
Thesis topic concerns the issue of information security in corporate environments. Literature search includes information obtained by studying articles and literature in the field of information security. Resources were selected with a focus on the security risks, security technologies and legislative regulation. Attention is focused on technology that supports monitoring of communication flows in the data network. Overview of traffic operating a data network provides important information for the prevention or investigation of security incidents. Monitoring also serves as a source of information for the planning of the network infrastructure. It can detect faults or insufficient transmission capacity. The practical part is dedicated to implementation of the monitoring system in the real corporate networks. Part of the experience is the analysis of the network structure and choice of appropriate tools for actual implementation. When selecting tools, you can use the scoring method of multicriterial analysis options. The integration of the monitoring system is also the configuration of active network elements. Subsequent analysis of network traffic provides information about the most active users, most used applications or on the sources and targets of data transmitted. It provides a source of valuable information that can be used in case of failure on the network or security incident. The conclusion is a summary of the results and workflow.
Virtualization for the x86 platform
Müller, Pavel ; Kyselý, František (referee) ; Pelka, Tomáš (advisor)
A thesis describes a virtualization of x86 platform. In the first part the virtualization, its utilization and specific types of virtualization are described in a general way. The specific types of virtualization are full virtualization, paravirtualization, virtualization on core level, hardware virtualization and application virtualization. There is also described a general function of virtual machine, reasons of virtualization implementing, current development, focusing on future development and virtualization security. In the second part the thesis tries to find a solution with establishment charges of virtualization. To test purposes the following software programs were used. The first one is freeware benchmark Sandra from SiSoft company and second one is a software created on the basis of the thesis. For the tests the CPU overhead both an arithmetic-logical unit and a unit for work with numbers and floating decimal point, a RAM data transmission efficiency and a hard disk logging rate were chosen. The following test machines were described: VMWare, VirtualBox and Xen. In the third and the last part of the thesis is a description of network interface virtualization methods with a utilization of tun and tap system. In each particular step a virtual network interface creation and implementation are presented. Model situations of communication among virtual and physical machines with usage of these devices are described at the end of the thesis.

On the increase of cutting performance of thread cutting taps with coatings
Světlíková, Jitka ; Sliwková, Petra (referee) ; Píška, Miroslav (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the process of cutting, the wear of cutting tools and the fact, that coating makes tools more durable and increases cutting power. The goal of the experimental part is to determine, compare and evaluate cutting features in the process of thread cutting with taps of different coatings. For the experiment invariable cutting conditions were chosen, the only variable is the type of used coating. The result of the experiment is the measurement of cutting torque dependent on time and the grade of the wear of cutting tools.
