Development of a methodology for calculating the residual stresses of a weldment in the Salome Meca software environment
Babišta, Jan ; Pokorný, Jan (referee) ; Vosynek, Petr (advisor)
The usage of welding in the process of manufacturing has become very widespread, mainly due to its low cost, versatility and the possibility of its automation. With its expansion comes higher demand for the possibilities of weld evaluation during the phase of design. Nowadays its possible to use tools based on finite element method for such evaluation. But the most commonly used tools are often very expensive. Therefore, the possibility of using Open-Source tool such as Salome-Meca to simulate the welding process as an alternative to commercial software was investigated. The first part of the work deals with the welding process and a description of the formation of residual stresses and deformations. It also deals with the description of the Salome-Meca software environment and the Code-Aster solver. In the next part the capabilities of the software in relation to problem of welding simulation are discussed. Furthermore, the goemetry of solved weldment, welding conditions, material properties and boundary conditions of the calculation are described. And finally, the individual solutions, their results and disadvantages of used approaches.
Welding of hot-dip galvanized sheets using hybrid Laser-TIG technology
Bukvic, Tomáš ; Sigmund, Marian (referee) ; Mrňa, Libor (advisor)
Thesis is focused on verification of suitability of Laser-TIG technology for penetrating welding of galvanized sheets, made of WSS M1A 365-A14 50G steel and DC01 steel. Electric arc functions here as a preheating for evaporation of zink layer. Electric current was chosen as a variable parameter of magnitudes 0, 20, 30 and 40 A. Test welds were made, which have been subjected to a tensile test and metallographic evaluation. The positive influence for electrolytically galvanized steel WSS M1A 365-A14 50G was registered and determination of optimal welding parameters was successful. The electric arc also had a positive effect on welding of hot-dip galvanized steel DC01, but at the selected test parameters not enough to achieve a reliable connection.
Welding of galvanized sheets using hybrid Laser-TIG technology
Antes, Jiří ; Kubíček, Jaroslav (referee) ; Mrňa, Libor (advisor)
ANTES, Jiří: Welding of galvanized sheets using hybrid Laser-TIG technology This master thesis deals with the welding of zinced deep drawing steel using Laser-TIG technology. The first section of the thesis describes the topic from the theoretical point of view, which includes analysis of welding technologies, influence of used material and application of diagnostic methods. The second part of the thesis is focused on monitoring of welding current impact for weld quality of two types of joints.
3D metal printing by robot
Tvrdoň, Radek ; Mrňa, Libor (referee) ; Sigmund, Marian (advisor)
The diploma thesis presents an overview of additive production technologies and a summary of technologies used for 3D metal printing using a robot. All of them are generally described and at the same time assigned to their specific commercial use, or the academic research that deals with them. The work examines the suitability of the material EN ISO 14341-A: G 3Si1 for 3D printing, for which a modification of the Col Metal Transfer technology, Cycle Step is used. The experimental printout of the sample is evaluated on the basis of surface and mechanical tests. Capillary test, examination of microstructure a macrostructure, tensile test and microhardness test. All of them were satisfactory and the suitability of the welding wire for 3D printing was confirmed by the given technology.
Welding with laser machines
Hanáková, Anna ; Osička, Karel (referee) ; Kalivoda, Milan (advisor)
This bachelor thesis is focused on the usage of laser beam and laser beam machines in engineering. It will be mainly focused on laser beam welding (LBW). History of laser, its development and principal are all described in the opening part of this bachelor theses. Types of lasers and its use are also included. Next part is focused on laser welding itself. Thus, welding methods, parameters entering the process and advantages/disadvantages of this technology are introduced. The last theoretical part includes material tests of welded joint and outputs of those tests. In the experimental part the process of laser welding itself is presented and the results of tensile test are described.
Design and manufacture of bending fixture
Ševčík, Jan ; Trčka, Tomáš (referee) ; Zemčík, Oskar (advisor)
The work deals with the design and manufacture of bending fixture. It contains a comparsion with current bending fixtures on the market and a justification for the production of a given type. Then the work contains a proposal of the constuction of individual parts with the selection and description of technologies of their production and the process of their production. The work also contains complete drawing ducumentation of all parts of the bending fixture. The conclusion of the work contains the possibilities of design modifications and economic and technological evaluation.

Furthermore, there is described manufacturing of the dagger prototype including its final assembly and evaluation.
Hodnocení kvality svarů heterogenních materiálů pomocí akustické emise
Hafner, Josef
This thesis is focused on the evaluation of hetereogeneous weld joints made by CMT technology using acoustic emission. The thesis is divided into four parts. The first one is focused on the describe CMT technology. The second part describe the principle of acoustic emission. The following part includes the methodology of experimental part. The final section deals with on the relation between the tensile strength of the samples with the measured values of acoustic emissions from the welding and cooling of the material.
Vznik korozního makročlánku u rozebíratelných i nerozebíratelných spojů
Daněk, Lukáš
This diploma thesis is focused on corrosion degradation of technical materials used for fire trucks production. It describes what is corrosion, corrosion environment and protection against effects of corrosion. Further, the thesis describes methods of joining materials in the production of fire tank trucks. In the experimental part the thesis deals with the examination of samples during mechanical and corrosion tests with subsequent evaluation. The examined samples are exposed to the effects of salt mist and then subjected to tensile testing. The most suitable method of joining materials for the construction of fire tank trucks is verified here.
