The task of this thesis was to summarize and compile information related to utilization of plants used for greening of vineyards regarding to present climate changes. The introduction deals with the properties of soils having a successful effect in application of blends appropriate for greening. The reasons for which this way of care should be applied in the vineyards are described in the following part. I focus on the response of plants in connection with stressful situation. The next part includes characterics of certain kinds of drought resisteive plants suitable for application to the blends used for greening. It also comprises greening methods typical for regions suffering from moisture insufficiency.

Diploma thesis "Gravel Garden" deals with the problematics of construction and working of gravel gardens as one of contemporary trends in designing private gardens according to the principles of natural plant communities. Literary part of the thesis provides a definition of "gravel garden" and refers about principles of design, construction technologies, characteristics of mineral materials and plants for use in gravel gardens. That is shown by the representative examples of implementation in the Czech republic and abroad. The thesis also presents the possibility of using technologies in the future. Knowledge is applied in the design of the model object of private garden with show gardens of family nursery in the village of Dub nad Moravou.
